morning all, surfed the pass yesterday all day was good fun 3 ft when the tide was right. I had some guy paddle infront of me while i was on a wave, i called him a dumb Sh1t and paddled away, i then noticed about 20 mins after that, he was getting out of the surf . I surfed for 3 hrs after that moment and i decide to call it a day and head in, im walking up the beach and i see this guy in the distance punching himself in the face and beating his chest. As i got closer i realised it was this guy HA. He comes marching up to me, eyes watering, chin and hands shaking swearing at me and telling me he was gunna smash me because i called him a dumb ****. After his threat of smashing me we both stood there in awkward silence for about 15 seconds starring at each other waiting for the smashing to commence, nothing happened. I then (not being able to help myself) commenced laughing at him and stating "You waited 3 hrs on the beach to have a go at me for calling you a dumb****? HA " He then backed up ripped his shirt off (he seemed to have gone home and dropped his family off and surfboard and came back to beach just for this by the way) and said "lets go come on im gunna kill ya". I then noitced at this time because the tide was high at the pass there wasnt much sand left on the beach and all around us was little babies playing in the sand young kids and mums looking horrified. I said (which went down really well with him trust me) " you really are a dumb**** if you waiting on the beach to fight me, and you want to fight in front of all these kids and mums, **** off". He suprisiing got the point and started walking away screaming "if i see you out here i will smash you and i cant wait to drop in on you" which i laughed and said " well you better get a 14ft board then mate cause you wont have much luck on a shortboard
I hate the pass for that reason. I have only surfed it once and had some kook trying to tell me I was in his way, when in reality he was on an ocean liner and about half a mile in front on the breaking part of the wave. I can only cope with Tallows in Byron at least it's spread out a bit. The scenery at the pass is good though
