"It's finally here. Surfing World issue 412 is the first of a new era, with new owners Jon Frank and Sean Doherty having bought the magazine, publishing it independently, and keeping the flame burning on the oldest continually published surf mag in the world. It might seem like an odd time to buy a surf mag, but if Frank and Seano are crazy enough to buy SW, they're probably also crazy enough to make it work. The mag will carry on 60 years of celebrating core surf culture here in Australia, but will also be a little different. Huge thanks to everyone who's supported the first mag, our subscribers, our ad partners, and all the surfers, writers and photographers whose work is featured in the mag.

That's great news (and sick cover).
I reckon with Jon Frank and Seano 'the human surf encyclopaedia', Doherty (is there nothin' that bloke doesn't know?!?) - at the helm, SW is in very good hands.

My current subscription runs out in December too. Better jump over and renew.

Yep Greeney - what a classic.
Takes him almost an hour to get out, cops about four million on the noggin and finally scratches into one.

Just suffered through the hottest November on record here - almost two degrees on average hotter - to top it off, possibly the longest flat spell on record also. It's buljit.
Mango madness has well and truly set in.
Started mowing the lawns in me jocks - given up giving a sh1t at this stage.

Morning all. Weird light here on the Sunny Coast (smoke from Fraser Island fires), gusting northerlies, crap waves and a hot day ahead. Might restock the fridge just so that I know it's all going to turn out okay in the end.
