I'm always a sucker on a work day with an incoming tide . it's cleaner on a fresh swell can surf for two hours and be at work by 9

about 5-10 3 from work

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me TB. I also surf Pipe a lot on an incoming tide and it's also bloody close to my front door !!
