So, Qld only just beats NSW in Game One, then they lose one of their best players in Cooper Cronk, while the Blues get one of their best players back, that dirtbox Gallen. I would've thought that would even things up even more. But Sportbet has the head to head odds at Blues $2.40, mighty, mighty Maroons $1.60.
I have no idea how this one is gonna go. And am not crazy enough to have a bet. But it will be a VERY feisty one I reckon.

Gallen is a liability. He will give away a couple of stupid penalties that will cost the Blues. Him n Bird do it every year. At least with Bird out that is a major plus for NSW

Origin is dead,its been getting less intense by the year,pearce putting his arm around Smith n having a laugh at half time in game 1 never would have happened in years past,Fifita ran like a tele tubby,Brooks flat-out then slows at the defensive line and Pearce never takes the line on,at least Reynolds has some mongrel in him and Id also have Ennis in the side for mega mongrel attitude-Bring back the Biff

The slowing down of the play the ball is crueling Rugby League and this is more evident in Origin. Defensive line gets a breather and the game just isn't opening up.
The NRL said they would clamp down last season but it hasn't happened. Not sure why they aren't policing this.
Not too many great tries anymore (think Mark Coyne 94 or 92 ?).
