All the Pro's are in town now. Just in the water today at Winki I saw Mick Fanning, CJ or Damien (1 of them!), Kai Otten, Luke Steadman, I think maybe Matt Wilkinson, and maybe Heiter Alves. Head count wavered between 15 & 20, and plenty of waves on offer.

Comp was set up in under 14 days this year. A modern era record.

Well good luck with that mate,its always good to have them in town gives the place a real buzz and is good for local business,as good as it is,its good to see them go.

I don't know if any of you guys log on to Baliwaves,I do daily and Jordy made a bee line to Bali straight after the quickie pro and he was killing it.

Parko for my has the perfect style and flow for Bells imo.

Nice to hear that the boys were sharing waves with everyone today. Looked nice on the cams.

Good find Ted. Most of that remains the same. They have been stuffing around for ages dropping in a pipe to Bells, but I'm not sure if it is for Town Water, or Sewer connection back to town. As far as I could see, it was only 1 service, and not both.

I think the storm water pits on the beach have been "tarted up".

Winki carpark situation is unchanged.

OK, Bells Final, Parko v Slater. Parko as winner. Fanning is good through the bowl too. The judges like his spiderman approach, and he surfs really fast. You need to watch the slow-mo replay to appreciate some of his stuff! The cream will float to the top though... Parko, Slater, Fanning, Jordy, Owen...

That was meant for Simondo and his endless quiver options....I know you are a big fan!

I put some cashola down on JJF at $34 - not a bad outsider option I reckon and some on Parko at $8. Slater is too short for my liking as is Steph at $3.25 - the $5.50 I got for her at the Goldie will be the longest odds she will be all year I imagine sadly.

I came across that MC peice Simondo through some Surfrider work I do a while back and was interested to see if anything had come of it - thanks for the update.

You can see why Simondo loves it down that way so much. I would love to move south and live by a quality point break or two but the FW only wants to move north (sun godness that she is) and I hate crowds so I guess that means we are stuck!!

How good are the waves atm at Bells

Yep - hard to do any work with that on my other screen right now. Owen destroyed that heat in some lovely waves.

I saw some beautiful sets coming through Centre Side and Bells too. Some of you would have seen some good Bells sets on the TV / Webcast.

This is a bit of a spine tingler... Picture this, 2 men getting ready paddling out for The Final at Hells Bells, and AC-DC Hells Bells is getting a run through the PA system. There nothing quite like hearing that song in The Bells Carpark ! Probably gets a run over the PA about 2-3 times per day.

Chrispy was ripping it apart at the seams in his purple and pink wettie!

Good waves, just caught up, been out all day. How good is the heat analyser, skip to the best bits.

What's the swell forecast Simondo?

& how is your new board order going ?

Forecast looks quite reasonable actually. Cold front coming through too. They get through a chunk before then. Then probably have a day or two off, during on shores.

So, Wed, Thur, Fri mornings all look quite good. Swell with correct wind direction. The afternoons just have question marks over wind direction.

My new board... It's shaped. I spoke to Ben Wallace. So it's moving through to lamination. Ben McTavish is having a baby (so to speak - you know what I mean), so he's been busy pushing through his side of the work, so he can have a week or so off. Sounds like there are a few boards waiting for lamination.
