Just found this pic of my 10'0" and my 7'8" Alan Oke. The Oke comes out on special occasions and is an epic board in big waves. Led to believe it's a late 69/70 build but havent confirmed that.
It has his original Early plain black ink outline on rice paper Oke Tree decal. i believe added some colour '70-71?
I know he started officially in 68 and the Board has the number 820. Maurice Cole suggested years ago it could be late 69/70 but that would suggest they were moving a few boards at the time at about 2.5 per day. Perhaps a little too refined for late 69?
Love to know. It rides well as mentioned, surfed on of my most memorable waves on it.
