CAN EVERYBODY REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR DAYLIGHT SAVING ON MAY 16TH.

IT WILL BE A REALLY CLOSE VOTE.

THIS MORNING WAS STILL DARK AT 7AM so i got to have a nice long lie in; without the sun rudely awakening me.

IF DAYLIGHT SAVING IS VOTED IN IT WILL BE DARK DURING SUMMER EVEN AFTER 7AM!!!!! errrrrrrr dont think so

IMAGINE GETTING UP AT 6AM TO HAVE A SWIM BEFORE WORK you must be as mad as madman, who has overdosed on mad pills

AND HAVING TO WAIT OVER 1 HOUR BEFORE DAYLIGHT!!!!! most times i wait between 9 -11 hrs for daylight.

IF YOU LOVE COMMON SENSE VOTE FOR DAYLIGHT SAVING

c'mon you no voters, pause, take a deep breath, stop thinking up lames excuses, move FWD with the rest of the world.

CHEERS

Hah i just thought how dumb the swim before work argument is. I work at a pool, and we get maybe 100people in before the sun comes up.
Out of 1.5million or whatever it is now. Such a dumb argument.
And people who want to exercise. Id rather run in the dark than during the day. No sunburn, its cooler, less people around and really peacful. And you'd get to watch the sun come up.

Sorry windy but anything after 12 noon in WA on the coast is "junk time".
Could probably count on 1 hand the amount of days this summer that the extra daylight is usefull unless you kite or windsurf. Would much rather get up for a early surf before work and the wind myself.
The vote will tell the story I guess.

Yes intresting .............is it because of the extra 1 hour driving time required to get to wack a few waves after work .? well good it should be for that you poor wind starved bastards.

Personally day light saving is GREAT but why does it have to be for so long.
2 to 3 months over the peak of summer would be unreal

Everyones persutes would be covered.

Getting off the water at 9.30 pm in Geraldton at summers peak and home by 10 .30pm after the standard one or two beers pluss dinner / whind down takes its toll getting to bed after 12 going to work at 7sih

YES from me, for what i ENJOY .Shorten it and its YES YES YES YES from me.

Really it will be VERRRRRRY disapointing if its gorn all together.

Mr plod.......... Why is life one extreme to the other ?

Just shorten it and im sure everyone will enjoy the entire summer far more

Gay sarha sarha,,, what ever will.... be will will be, as time, life and age changes for the, gay sarha.

I hear ya Kingo, but remember

FIRST we must vote YES, to make sure it stays

THEN
we can lobby the pollies to make it shorter, we MUST MUST MUST vote YES first, then worry about timing later.

A news website is running two polls, one for an earlier finish date, one for the current finish date. It seems that everyone votes the same way for both options.

(I did)

Big Gill is asking for daylight saving in winter?

Now you're talking. What a blessing that would be. Chance of getting in a sail after work all year!!

In summer though, NO thanks.

Cassa, I didn't say the "daylight hours" changed and I know that it was the time that changed, but it goes back to that saying "If it isn't broken, why fix it?"

We REALLY WANT daylight savings! On a personal level it gives us time to enjoy WA's beautiful beaches after work, and on a commercial level it makes business possible! If daylight savings is voted down we are moving our business to Melbourne.

Could probably count on one hand how many times it was worth getting up early for a wave this summer unless your one of those strange surfer that sit out at triggs when its only knee high.

Better off staying in bed and enjoying the lying

If power bills are going to rise by 20% just think about how much more time you spend with the lights and tv on now daylight savings are over

im bored sh1tless in the evenings now its dark at 6pm

all i can say you must have a pretty a boring life if tv and sitting around waiting to go to bed is all you want to do the evenings.

Vote yes

(little old lady who's lived in WA all her life)

"I paid 10 bob for these curtains 20years ago and now after 3 years of daylight savings their ruined i tell ya, bloody ruined(deep breath)and dont let me start on how my pussy's been behaving with an extra hour of daylight.
I can never get it in at night,it was out till 9.30pm one night came home with its hair all standing up it was so frisky took nearly an hour of stoking it till it calmed down.I shouldn't be doing that at my age.
life was so normal before daylight savings.I wish my Burt was still around he would know what to do"

I agree GAZZA, its crap and lets get rid of it.

To all those "sheep" who say the "no's" dont like change etc-try some change and get up an hour earlier, come home an hour earlier. Truly the day and daylight is exactly the same.

If your boss wont let you, then grow a spine and tell him how it is.

But dont expect everyone else to change just for you.

Oh man - I had the biggest laff in ages at the Oskaar vid!! I love that he loses his train of thought straight after "It helps storp me going funny in de hed!"

BTW I will vote YESSIRREE but think the whole deal would be soooo much easier if we just changed on the same days as the Eastern states. Diff days is stoopid.
