Maybe we should start a new movement.
"Responsible extreme sport people unite"

Try and convince all the idiots in any sport, it really isn't "cool" to p1ss off the general public, and isn't in their long term interests.

The responsible extreme sports people needed to unite against the guy I saw on the news hang gliding off eroded sand hills on the Gold Coast. What an accident waiting to happen!

not if you saw my boyfriend windsurfing freestyle, so i suggest u get your facts in order before you pass judgement.i wouldnt call jet skiing a sport so i will call it an activity... thus u CAN NOT compare that lame ass activity to the extreme sport of windsurfing

wow, I'm not sure how wanted you are around here: I think we have enough winging users on here already unfortunately, but we can ask you back in the future if we ever need to hear about how awesome your life is in a way that creates the impression your Bridget from bigbrother.
FYI: jet skiing competition

don't see many windsurfers getting that sort of air with a 300+Kg weight to land on them if they get it wrong.

BTW, can we see a video of your boyfriend in action please

I once had to tow one that had run out of fuel ,behind my Gaff schooner. He and his aquabogan mates had been annoying the whole lake all day, But I foolishly took pity on him. He had the nerve to ask if the boat went any faster.
I was working on the theory that if we left him out there his mates would have fired up their motor bikes and utes and gone out in the dark around the edge of the lake looking for him. As it panned out they all got drunk/stoned and jumped in their cars and went screaming around the edge of the lake in the dark anyway.
There is a happy ending to the weekend. when the Aquaboguns left the lake they drove too fast(as they do)and over the next 40kms of dirt road the ski slowly slid back on the trailer, over the back and ground down . they discovered the terminal damage when they pulled up at the ORABANDA PUB for refreshments. we had the pleasure of following them for the last 2 kms after they overtook us.
In the words of DEREK and CLIVE " Laugh! we nearly shat!

Your response lacks a point/line of thought/spelling/grammar or anything to defend against really. Are you French Canadian?

Wow, I'm glad i found this thread, its bloody halarious!

I cant believe how much everyone hates jetskis. I know they are noisy but they are fun to go for a squirt on!

I would never buy one because they are too expensive for the little use you get on them but I dont hate them. I usually hate the tool thats riding the thing, because you know that the $ he spent on the jetski, would have funded the dream fishin boat or a good 4x4.

Surely you boys like to go for a squirt on the dirt bikes too? But I guess you need to live in the country to appreciate dirtbikes.

We rarely see jetskis over here. And when you do it is calm so you're only jelous the aqua bogan is on the water.

If there is no wind, get the fishin boat ready or fire up the bikes! I'd take a jet for a squirt too but cant justify buying one.

I'm sure that windsurfers had nothing to do with this piece of very sad news....

Jetski factory destroyed by fire
June 3, 2008 - 6:35AM

Fire has destroyed a jetski factory in Sydney after more than 35 firefighters fought to contain the blaze from destroying adjacent premises.

Six fire crews were called to the scene in Heathcote Road at Moorebank, in Sydney's south-west just before 4am today.

The jetski and watercraft manufacturing plant measuring 10m by 20m was well alight when emergency crews arrived, a NSW Fire Brigades spokesman said.

Firefighters battled the inferno for nearly an hour before bringing it under control and saving the the other three premises in the complex.

No one was injured and on one was evacuated during the incident.

Forensic investigators have arrived to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.

Traffic delays continue as crews remain at the scene.

I suppose its all relative to your interests, the limited use is why I own a ski and not a boat or good 4x4, the ski holds 3, great family activity, skurf, ski, tube behind it, cruise up the coast, platform to snorkel and swim from.

It is an interesting thread and I'm glad Laurie left it open, for no other reason than it highlights the intolerant views of the haters and how much slack they cut themselves for thier own activities.

Another vote for the jetski forum.

Yeh those 3 seaters look like a good family toy.

Sorry cranky, I used the term 'tool' loosely. i.e. refering to a 19 yr old male, who only bought the thing in the first place was to show off to his mates and take underaged girls for joy rides. Also, the young lad had never riden one before, and bought the most powerful model at the time, only so he can scare young girls half to death.
