Alternately, if you want to get rid of that over expensive heap of crap in it you can also put the transmission with the engine on the market in some country they can do those speeds and do a faster clean job to fit an "engine and transmission" with the before mentioned (post) parameters considered.
However, the drive train from the transmission to the differential may need to be custom, and it's good to pick a transmission engine set that outputs to a diff with drive wheels much the same diameter.
Just a matter of the drive shaft slider movement, transmission cross beam mounting and the transmission controls fitting.
So if you were modifying a new Audi R8 GT Spyder you would look for something such as a Subaru 1600cc "V4 cylinder" engine or Honda V6 e,t,c,
much quicker in getting rid of the superfluous junk in a new sports car!
I've found some Ferrari in history without engine and transmission, If modified your Alpha Romeo would truly fit the Australian classification of "Trans Aus" because it contains Japanese mechanical components and making it legal for speed in Australia because it cannot outrun a Minnie minor with a .22LR bolt action single shot on a highway.
What are you smoking dude?
Not smoking a thing !
You are only allowed a maximum 120 Kmh in Australia , 12000 people a year are hospitalised by road accident and the main causes of fatal crash are speeding , loss of control of vehicle and finally fatigue.
A vehicle that is an immense price
with an engine designed to be used (cruise) at a speed above 120 Kmh (Such as European autobahn) is a pestilence to itself mechanically apart others if it ever encouraged speeding and loss of control of the vehicle.
As that is, simple modification when bought can have the engine and engine power sufficient by modification of swap over to a cheap smaller engine and transmission and the sale of the excess crap in such a vehicle (the brand new engine and its brand new transmission and perhaps its drive shaft) will recoup a large quantity of the cost of the original vehicle and the modification costs !
Whose the idiot if i were to drive an Alpha Romeo in Australia that is brand new all the way through and only cost half price finally !
(who's smokin son!)
