I did exactly that on my Naish Hover Downwind 110L (also 7'8, but 20" wide) to make parawinging easier and it made a huge difference to how easy it was to balance and waterstart! It also makes board control a bit easier, but not so sure it helps pumping (though pumping while starting is a lot easier). I'm happy with the decision, it helped my learning process, though now I mostly ride my midlength board as the riding experience is much better.

Cool how did you make it ? ....maybe with one of those ?

Any advise not to screw up with the epoxy ?

thanks !

I had a local board shaper do it for me, so can't help you with the details

V2 Frigate is coming this summer, so a completely normal cycle with yearly roduct releases, which seems very reasonable in a new sport like parawinging. It will have been like 8 months between the release of the Frigate and Quest, which hardly can be criticized for being rushed. If you bought a really good product, but further development of the sport makes you frustrated or angry, you're they could not supply only a victim of your own psychology. I suggest being stoked about the development and all the good products that are available for us to enjoy!

But they could not supply in a timely fashion. Then bring out an updated model ffs.

The delayed delivery sounds very irritating, I agree. Perhaps it was a bigger success than they had planned for. I have two Frigates and I'm super happy with them, can't see there will be a need to change only because something better comes out, perhaps just expand the quiver.

Exciting times! I've received my sk8 750 and 12 mm UHM mast and I'm blown away by how good it is. Do you know when the Quest will be released? Same material as the Frigate? Doesn't look like there are any B lines on the bar, but I can't see a "yoke" either, is that correct?

guys I have the 90L mini dart and can report it is an epic board . Crazy light for its size but seems plenty strong enough with not even a ding after two months hard use. I've used mostly for Pw but fine for winging also . I'm 90kgs .

How much does it weigh?

I'm very stoked about trying the small sizes, hoping the 2,4m might be the perfect high wind parawing as it will probably be great at handling gusts and the extra material will likely be very manageable in the 3,1m and 2,4m sizes. As I'll likely want a smaller foil in higher wind it also allows to go slightly overpowered without being penalized for it.

From extensive experience with foil kites I'm quite sceptical about a double skin as an option for high gusty wind. They might have good depower, but are often sensitive to gusty wind. I'm much more optimistic about the hybrid models that are coming out, as they eat gusts like nothing else. I'm often out foiling with hybrid foil kites in 30-40 knots and have an amazing time, while my friends complain it was terrible because of the gusts, which I haven't even noticed. There will be a hybrid parawing soon from 777 that should come in 3.2m and 2.5m sizes.
