Weather Situation for Northern Western Australia
A ridge extending through the Pilbara will break down on Friday, resulting in an easing of the east to southeasterly flow across the Pilbara offshore waters. The ridge will break down on Friday, resulting in an easing of winds over the Pilbara and adjacent waters. A new ridge will develop through central parts of the state on Saturday. Fresh surges of east-southeasterly wind will develop off the Pilbara coast on Sunday and Monday.
Weather Situation for Southern and Central Western Australia
A moderately strong cold front will cross the southern and western part of the State on Friday, with strong to gale force winds, possible thunderstorms and small hail trailing the front along the south coast on Friday night. A new ridge of high pressure will strengthen across central parts of the state on Saturday as the cold front clears eastward into the Bight. A weaker front will clip the south coast on Saturday night and Sunday morning, then the ridge will slip southward and settle the winds over the south coast on Monday.
Weather Situation for Perth and Melville Local Waters
A moderately strong cold front will pass through the metro region around early afternoon on Friday. A new high pressure ridge will strengthen through central parts of the State on Saturday. A weaker front will clip the south coast on Saturday night, then the ridge will slip southward and cause winds to settle across the area on Sunday night and Monday.
