Kiters are BY FAR the worst water users. I'd rather be in a crowd of 10 wingers than anywhere near a kiter.

I think for a lightweight rider using wings under 1m and not jumping a quality M6 is fine. I'm far from light and never had an issue.
I'd definitely do helicoils or possibly Chicago nuts if going M8

If you can water start you have more than enough wind. You should try to hold the board on the water with front foot pressure then ease it to lift off.

PTM1001 is worth trying, it's faster with a lot more glide than the 926

You generally can't mix brands, frequently you can't mix models within brands.
If you are on a budget buy a used mast.

Axis wings tend to be thick with a lot of camber. Makes them change lift rapidly as speed increases. Wingers counter that with very small tails bit that isn't very possible when windfoiling.

Slogging a midlength wing board is easy, even 10L under body weight. Plus if the wind completely glasses they are far easier to paddle.

I'm 6' with short limbs and 32" are borderline, longer will be more efficient.

No.

Could you perhaps decrypt your NO ? Is it NO for an advanced, speed- and-planing oriented sailor , but perhaps good for subplaning with an intermediate, not very demanding sailor ? Or perhaps hard to handle, with not enough power in the light winds conditions I described? Would you have given the same answer for winging on a board without a foil, just a fin and perhaps a centerboard?

THks

It's no because you describe the worst possible use case for a parawing regardless of sailor skill. It's also a bad use case for an inflatable wing.
What you need is a raceboard and matching rig or an LT.

My big friend using the Leviathan found it really doesn't want to turn. Gybes were a struggle and it traded glide for pump.
The Leviathan Pro was easier for him.

I know someone who is ~105kg using a larger board and the SAB Leviathan Pro 1360 with large sails in Seattle, which is infamous for days where there is 8-12kts with deep lulls. It's the only thing that gets him going.
The big problem is fuselages which put the foil far enough forward. I believe he's had to do some adaption.

The 909 is a VERY good foil. I'm winging it and am extremely tempted to get the WS fuselage for light wind days. You may wish to go up on the stab size, the 370 is very loose.

Thanks for the tip. I'm guessing I'd have to order a larger stab separately? What size would you recommend? I stepped back from wind foiling last spring to try wing foiling again, and hopefully get my jibes down. But I really miss wind foiling. Hoping I can find a balance and do both

I'd go to one of the curved stabs with a bit more area.
Gullwing 430 if you want easy.
Reverse 395 if you want more sporty.

The 370 is what I have and I think it would be a handful windfoiling.

Average riders in accurately described, average conditions.
A 60kg expert in glass smooth offshore talking about low end is meaningless.

Other than kiting I think the Plume has my interest the least.

I'd rather fin, but conditions dictate foiling. I'm winging now but if I had the garage space I'd windfoil on flat water and lighter days.
