Getting up on foil is important. Board shape is almost as important as the foil for this.
Pretty much anything will catch air and pull you up on foil.
When a wing loses it's low-end within 3 months of use in a predominantly low-end location than the wing might be more important.
This is where's the Ocean Rodeo wing could make a difference.
In a place where wind is not an issue one could get away with a parachute and a wood plank as long as a good foil is attached to it.
Reading your comment makes me think you're a good candidate for the new Ocean Rodeo wing since you might be able to hold
on to it 3 years from now given wing design evolution makes no difference to you.
