Did anyone hear about a Shark sighting in the Bonbeach area last Friday?

Yep. Heard it from Adam who rode over the top of it. But some of his fellow riders said the size of it had grown with time

Adam recons it was a whitey - if it was, I'd say it is juvenile....

Didn't make me very comfortable in the chop with my foot bleeding away ....

Mordy beach was closed the night before from a shark siting. I sailed with Adam on teh day and he said it was about 8ft black on top near seconda sand bar heading towards Frankston direction. The chopper did search for it for a while and there was no sign of it.

Apparently sharks are there all the time, just that every now and then you might spot on.........

Also had one at the Pier to Pub in Lorne on Saturday - nr the Mantra hotel. Beach was cleared and the Westpac chopper moved it on. Certainly made the swim more interesting...

Too funny - I was swimming with a mate from Ballarat and he wouldn't get in. He must be 6'6'' tall and 115 kilos too.

I think its better not to tell people about sharks.... I mean they are there all the time, if you see one, your just lucky right So maybe we should agree not to say anything since they don't like humans anyway......

Better to keep people informed for safety. Especially as the Bonno shark came back today just inside the pole heading towards Mordy.

I agree on keeping people informed but let's do this on a probability basis

has a shark EVER attacked a windsurfer in Australia?

has a windsurfer ever been hit by a car in Australia?

If I see someone driving aggressively I will post here to keep people informed. Please could everyone else do likewise....

I saw 'Off Da Wall' driving like a madman with a van full of windsurf gear and an overloaded roof, Sandy Point bound. Keep your kids off the road. You've been warned.

Leman it was @ 4am so no kids should be up then + how fast can his Van really go? 45k maybe 50 with the wind behind and a fully loaded roof.

You forget, we did pass that kiter car on the first run. Those vans have guts. Just my really poor humour at play.

For balance and picking up on Ginger Poms scale of probability, has a baby seal ever whacked a windsurfer or other watersports enthusiast in Australia? these are important H+s issues

I got taken out by a kid's toy kite once on the beach at Inverloch. I was carrying my gear to the water when WHACK!...right on the noggin!
It certainly was an unprovoked attack....

West Coast UK - Devon

Surfing Woolacoombe with 50 surfers out, seal takes a disliking to one random surfer and tries to mount his board/ shag him whilst he's sat on it.
seal knocks the guy off board and there having an underwater tussle for a bit.
then guy got back on board and seal starts pulling him backwards through the water by his leash.

This 30 year old bloke is screaming for help whilst all of us are shouting encouragement for the seal to rape him.

Ahh funny, but felt real sorry for the bloke
