Theres no doubting that Kato's awesome effort is deffinately the world 24hour record.
It will be great to see the new world 24 hour record(when it happens) recorded on GPSTC with the midnight to midnight ruling

Good luck with it. Have a look at the Ay-Up lights for the night time leg and having a reference light on shore helped too. Have a practice first with the night stuff as its very different and easy to lose your wind direction.
Thanks Kato! the Ay-up lights are a fantsatic aussie company. I nearly bought some last year for endurance horse riding but in the end got carried away and made my own. Ended up with a fully water proof 1000 lumens which I can use for night sailing as well.
Hey look at this you've been beaten

Confused !!!!!! so am i. See if you can get your head around this. I never broke Dave,s GPSTC and as previously stated by Ben that the team challenge is not about record breaking or keeping thats GPS3,s role, but i did break the 24hr distance record (Held by Dave)
GPSTC rules are that it must be in a calender day. Jacques broke the GPSTC record with 521km but missed the 24hr distance record of 540.9km. A bit hard to claim the World Distance Record when you sail a smaller distance.

So that the mark. Go for it,I,ll cheer from the side lines
