Cripes they obviously have windy venues over there. You don't see 50ltre options very often.

I like the white - it might look really nice in the flesh, but specs look identical so any changes to the Quatro shapes?

To us aussies they stand out as "won't delaminate in the sun on the first use"

There's a new 99l Pyramid that I am waiting for! I like the 2016 95l model but it is pretty technical to sail if you are 94-96 kg, so I'm thinking that the new one will be easier in variable breezes.

Wondering the same thing. I saw a vid of KT sending off the new Goya models to the factory so those were at least partially updated.

I can think of three adults I know who ride 48 - 58L wave boards when its over 30kn. I reckon its a great addition.

After the wow factor settles than we will have a better idea of the new Goya quad. Imho the 20/21 custom 4 will still hold its own for quite some time....

I had a chance to see some of the new stuff on the beach (Tarifa, Spain) the other day. The Cube is the same super board, beside the colours!

The Goya Quad looked pretty awesome too. Definitely a different outline compaired to the previous model. The 94 L. looked like it was slightly bigger than the 94 from 20/21, maybe due to the different outline. They said it sits a bit higher in the water and should get going a bit faster. (just what they found in the test, that I read a few days later). According to the tec specs it looks like the 114 has the exact same measures, and that the 104 has the biggest changes.

The sails are significantly lighter, and besides the Banzai they (re)introduce a new 5 batten Eclipse, and a new freestyle sail. I didnt see a Guru, but hope they keep it in the line. The sails looked spectacular!

Where are you based? I have my 79l 2021 Goya Quad for sale in the UK if you're interested :)

Every time they releaee a new generation of the Quad at Goya I struggle to find a board in their line-up for a 93 kg rider. The last "fitting" board was the 2015 Quad 96. All the new generations I found to small or narrow in the 90 sizes so I landed at the Thruster 99 respectively my current C3 98. Really good boards too.
The new 94 Quad seems a tad smallish again, the 104 just too big. There's nothing in the Goya line-up like the Cube 98 tough. (But I want to stay with Goya).
So again the only fitting board in the 2022 Goya range for a wavesailor around 95 kg is the Thruster 99.
Maybe they aim to sell more Quads in the Micro sizes to kids than to us bigger guys.

Interesting move by Quatro - The pyramid is slightly larger at the centre & tail; are they going for a more approachable board? unless something's changed down the bottom, i'd rather keep my 2021 which i love because how radical & pure surf orientated.

A bit disappointed with the Cube, i was thinking about changing my Fanatic Grip 86L for a Cube 87L but they've gone the compact route with the Cube, i.e. shorter & thicker.

A revamped Carrera. The old one interested me, but was a bit too long to fit in my van. The new ones are around 235cm long, the 118l is 68cm wide. Ticks a lot of boxes for me, including no weight increasing foilbox No recessed deck, hopefully the same rail shape as the old one and a bit shorter planing flat. From the writeup, or lack of it, they didnt sail it.
On Goya's website it looks like they mucked up the details as its a thruster Its been taken down now as far as I can see.

I'm not a visual expert but some big companies had used me to do their design work and said they liked it. lol
I really like white color (easy to fix and touchup). However, I feel that Quatro graphics could have been done better or shall I say simpler, highlight the shape better considering that many people buy boards by looking at pictures and reviews online.
I remember Fanatic made white boards in 2009/2010 and they looked pretty good. It's taste, yes, but many things have logical explanation. These boards would look better if one could remove a few black lines from deck, bottom, and back rails. Geometrical shaped graphics are cool, look contemporary but it's a stick with two ends as these can dramatically change the perception of shapes.

Maybe its mainly a difference in thickness of the board which accounts for the volume.

The Carrera freeride comes with 21cm US and 2 11cm slot box fins
They spend hours developing these boards then on the website put out duff information. Once they do that, it makes you wonder about the other specs. I once saw RRD put the Wave Cult fin set up in the FSW specs and people believed it. If it looks odd, it probably is wrong.
Brochures are the most we see these days as shops dont hold stock for us to go and look at. You would think they could double check everything before publishing it. Do we have to wait for Surf Mag to do one of their videos to show us the exact bottom shape? Whats wrong with the brand doing that?
With the Carrera, they say "and most importantly, modifying the rocker and flat spot to adjust the initial entry and overall control of the board." So what length is the rocker flat? I dont want a short slalom rocker flat nor one too long so it is too draggy. I'll drop them an email.

Yes, it is correct. I checked. 56.5 cm width for the 82l thruster, there is a nice pic of it showing the specs.

Somethings not right. The new Goya 104 Custom 4 is supposed to be wider in their description but the spec's say narrower? Hmmm

"XL sizes (104 & 114): Ideal for float and ride mode or for ultimate speed and low end with almost 1cm less of tail release than the smaller siblings, the 104 and 114 carry the agility of the smaller sizes into the XXL range. Team: Marcilio, Tom Hartmann."

Tom Hartmann advocates narrower boards here in the last minute/30 seconds of the video, so perhaps he has had an input here along with MB:

63cm preferred over 66cm width for 114. You see the narrower approach favoured here so follows for 114 (same width as for 2021) and with the 104 possibly getting narrower with more range as conditions improve.

"Getting wider" imo only applies to the Quad sizes up to the 94.
The 104 and 114 are different shape concepts. The 104 seems to be a new shape whereas the 114 seems to be the same, since the specs are exactly the same like the generation before.
The same applies to the Thruster 99, same specs like the '20 Thruster 98 before.
Question is if they kept the dimensions though, but changed the volume flow on the "dimensionally unchanged" Quad 114 or Thruster 99.

Btw. the specs of the Banzai line are exactly the same in all sizes like the generation before, so the sails are either unchanged or it is a copy/paste from the last gen and will be further updated.
