Great day at Sandstone this afternoon John pad and I sail from about 1:30 onwards. And Jeff turned up and just turned before dark the wind was really picking up when he went out. John went out on a 5.5.
He was a little rusty at first he hadn't had a sail for 3 weeks. I went out on a 6.4 on my 140 litre Nash and sail most of the afternoon on it. At the end of the day I went out on my 110 leader Hawk. I surprised myself didn't think I would be able to ride it as I have only been windsurfing just over a year. Did 4 planning runs at the end of the day. Had a great day sorry you couldn't be here Brad but somebody has to work

Gawd yeah, welcome back to windsurfing after a few weeks off. 20+ wind and 5.5 sail with small fin. Was a bit wonky at first but got back into it and enjoyed the arvo. Just myself and Adam with Jeff showing up for a late one as I was leaving. More of the same tomorrow arvo I reckon ??

Well that was a wild after work session. Met Adam late at sandstone. Wild winds wild water. Couldn't hold the 6.5 on the ground to rig it - ended up rigging 5.8 wave sail. Took out f2 slalom with 42fin - time was short!

Spent most of my time either being tossed in the gusts or trying to keep board on the water

Still more fun then having an after work nap!!

(Total wind drop = Number of blow ins x 5kn).

7m sails and big fins today for Adam and I, and a whole lot more casual than yesterday's effort. Bit dissappointed that the fin I'd borrowed from Pete went pop and fell out early in the session without even hitting anything, I think a low tide emu parade is in order now to try and track it down. Either way, I owe you money for it Pete.

Thinking of a trip up to Burrum some time over the next week. Maybe even tomorrow or Friday.
A week of good low tides and southeast wind 15-20 / 15-25knt's. Might find a bed.
Will get a few more rod's done in the morning first.

Ah. Kennilworth paddles. Awesome. Your bike is still clean though. Hope all your landings were clean and not as sloppy as the track must have been. Hope you didn,t end up with too many knots, but lots of airtime. Guess we,ll find out in the after photo if all went well.

Our bikes are ready to go anytime but my son no longer is covered by accident or health insurance. And He scares the crap out me what he does now on the CRF 250. Is there such a thing as safety in numbers. Or just more people he can to show off to there and administer first aid afterwards. Oh well if you can,t beat em join em they say.

Yep, I'm in for the early if the wind holds overnight like the forecast says it will. Should be enough water till around 11am hopefully.

Heading up to Golden Pond tomorrow, if anyone is keen.

I can't make it now, on kid duties and kid isn't keen on a chilly morning at Sandstone.

Probably 12 to 15 knots at Sandstone now from the Southwest.

Great morning at Sandstone sailed all morning on 7.8m planing 90% of the time. Did 42 k a record for me. Dave (cedardale) turned up about 9. Where was everybody else. Pat showed up and said g'day as I was packing up Nice speed Darren at Burrum Heads 31.66 knots.

Pete and i went to cootharaba, it was blowing a gail all day long, but the flaming chop was bigger than i am tall was hard going. But we had an awesome day yet again.

Tony, Pete and I ended up at the Lake.
Crazy windy and choppy at times, interesting.
I think Tony and Pete ended up on 6m and less. I would have too, if Jeff would sell me his Overdrives
Instead I tried in vain to keep my 7m Gator and the Futura on the water. Little Carve and a 6.0 would have been funerer, but still good.
Only made up my mind to go up at the last minute, after a message from Tony and then looking at all the Jet Ski's zipping around at GB.

Good kms Adam - you are coming on in leaps and bounds. Did you do it on the Go or Nitrix?

i went to RQ beach with Max - I put in a cameo sail. Yet to have a good day at RQ sail wise. Too much chop/wind/board/sail

Will learn to read the conditions better over time

Max is keen to do the Saturday morning sessions so looks like more RQ for me

Great day at the lake, gusty wind and lumpy water.
Started off with 7.3 cconcept on the on 128 sp naish and finished up on a 5.6 overdrive.
Andy showed us how it was done on 7.8 overdrive and 110 isonic with +30 knot runs.
Great to meet up with Morgs, Rich, Troy and Andy and families all camping there while we had to go back home, tired and sore but happy. Hope to get back up there for a couple of days over Easter.
Dags texting his 30 + runs from Burrum filled in the day.
Jeff and Max honing their skill at Manly should be able to impart some of their newly acquired wisdom to their mates.

I think I found the problem Pete, no threads left. Got a new brass doover from Pauly today.

I always keep a spare brass thingy or two in my kit.
I reckon they should be 8mm. Looking good for wed

No wind today, but caught just over ten kilo's of prawn's.
Just ate about three kilo's.
Should be perfect for a blast again tomorrow.
