There won't be enough water till maybe 0930 anyway so you should have enough time to do the school drop on your way to Sandstone, don't forget to stop the car when you drop her off, it's never a good look when you don't.

Good to have a sail this morning before work. We worked out why DAGs always rigs small - his wind metre reads 3-4knts more than mine. Or maybe that's why I rig big :-)

7.5m weather with rough high tide condition for me. The boys had a sail and then rest time while waiting for the water to settle.

Not it sure how many "sickies" we called in today??

Sandstone is longboard or windSUP paradise when it's like that, absolutely lovely and perfect for learning.

Nothing beats time on water I reckon Jeff. Up until now I've ignored the urge to track myself on a GPS because I wanted to concentrate on controlling my board and rig and didn't care too much about speed, but now I've started using the GPS so I can measure how many km I am doing in a session and see how I am managing my speed. Adam and myself are aiming to do 20-25km as a minimum per session now. I am a little bit behind Adam in speed but can comfortably keep up with him in distance and both of us are quite comfortable if the water gets a bit lumpy. Darren is hammering both myself and Adam to commit more, sheet in and back and really load up the fin now to get us on the gas so that's the next big thing as well as learning to jybe on the plane (Adam is starting to pull of a lot of good jybes now so I've got some catching up to do). I'm pretty happy with where my sailing is at after only 15 months and I'm sure Adam would be pretty happy with his steep learning curve too, happy days

Watching the rapid progress of you, Adam and Jeff and Morgs over the past year or two and the sheer joy of the sailing experience only reinforces the principle of pleasure shared is pleasure doubled, or in his case, pleasure quadrupled!
All of you have now, in one way or the other, contributed to the advancement and continuity of the sport through your efforts in the guidance, teaching and support of both the new learners and those who have made a return to the sport after years of hiatus.
It is most gratifying to see you all give back to the sport what you have acquired through your generosity and enthusiasm.( Sorry about all the long words., blame Glen Moray )

I am very happy with my progress but could not have done it without the help of the sandstone Regulus. Peter, Tony and Jeff were a big help when I first got on a board 15 months ago. If I am having a problem I can talk to any of the sandstone regulars and they help me out. John and myself trying to keep up with each other it is fun learning at the same pace as somebody else. Windsurfing is a great sport don't know what I would do with my spare time if I was not windsurfing.

Pete mate (Professor Pete), couldn't be said much better, but I'd add a quote from the man himself (you);
"Pay It Forward". On a separate note, I got a really big kick out of seeing my little girl get going today, and will guide her towards the inspiration oozing from this thread.
