The level of STOKE about foils on windsurfers is off the charts
Bring on the new toys and lets get the rules of Foil Club established
Never talk to your Wife or Hubby about Foil Club
We are not spending money we are just investing in the future
We are just keen to stay fit and healthy

Thanks to everyone that has posted, keep it up and keep the windsurfing foil news coming.

Cheers Russ

YES YES YES NAISH
Developed with Robby Naish and our team of talented designers and engineers, Naish takes flight with the 2018 Windsurfing Foil Collection. Coming soon, Naish introduces a revolutionary foil, boards and a brand new sail fully dedicated to get you flying above the water-even in the faintest of winds. All products in the collection are designed to be easily accessible to all windsurfers, not just dedicated slalom or pro sailors. Turn light wind days into limitless freedom as each piece in the set works to get you up and foiling in a snap-even when no one else can. This is windsurfing like you've never experienced it before. This collection is coming soon to a dealer near you. Follow our facebook, instagram and check in with your local dealer for the latest developments.

So looking forward to mine

Some pics of the new Zeeko windfoil board.
115L 78cm wide 215cm long. Can use Tuttle or plate mount foils. With plate mount you can tune foil balance.

Those sails on the Naish product look simple in layout and bagged out for power. Short harness lines look like the go.

25 knots

I think it is more about enjoying long glides in light wind.

Around 30 knots seems to be the peak at the moment. This is with a smaller wing, the larger ones are better for lightwind.

So what are kite brands (who have bashed windsurfing for years) now suddenly jumping on the windfoil band wagon. What works for kite foiling does not directly transfer to windfoiling. Lack of skilled testing teams will mean sub standard products. There is a desire to make a quick buck. I'll stick to reputable brands thanks.

How hard is it to learn? You wouldn't want to stuff up and run it aground!

So the first video from Naish shows the Hover Windsurf, second shows the Hover crossover SUP/Windsurf.
The SUP/Windsurf ( above), looks good as it can be used as a conventional wave sup, foil sup and wind foil!

That is everything in one I am going for the Hover windsurf but I think the crossover would be best for most.

Thanks Sean
It will be good for the PWA to be able to hold the light wind events with foils and get results and keep windsurfing for the windy days over 15 knots where it looks like fun rather than a light wind yacht race.

Foils do look heaps of fun racing in 15 knots and under
