That arguement flips both ways, lots of coast not being used, except this bit, it has been used by defence since before you were born.

population demographic is changing. As the population creeps closer towards the bombing range (a major road now connects wedge and lano) its time for the bombing rang to move further away from the public.

Maybe the more beach goers push back against the commonwealth the sooner the bombing rang will move...

I doubt they will give it up in our lifetime, apparently it is of commonwealth interest and a strategically important defence asset. I think you have more chance of getting a handy from Elvis than see defence give up that land

Before I was born Lanno and Wedge island were alot harder to access than they are now tho.
You have to admit that doing live firing next to township isnt the smartest thing to do, friendly fire isnt done on purpose

Not necessarily my own words I used, but a quick google search on strategy-

"In military usage, a distinction is made between strategy and tactics. Strategy is the utilization, during both peace and war, of all of a nation's forces, through large-scale, long-range planning and development, to ensure security or victory. Tactics deals with the use and deployment of troops in actual combat. "

I think we can safely say planning and development includes training.

ha ha, there is no wind to go kiting and I'm oblivious to the chores that need doing around the house. The next best option is annoying the fine folk here on Seabreeze

Here goes dumb question number #2147

Where abouts is this place, or where abouts roughly -north or south, very far etc etc?

Just curious for no reason.

I have had other thoughts on how to access that part of the beach but I might need some info from you in regards to kitesurfing or the kites more to the point, more on this mad idea later tho.
