In a world that is now dictated by everything becoming easier, more accessible and cheaper, surf breaks are bound to get more crowded, with crowds comes a lot of different people and with a lot of different people comes all the hoo ha we see today.

It's sad but cant see any clear answer or solution and getting aggro on a forum is not going to stop kooks from having their way, some people just don't care..

I like the old school rules, so simple, and when followed mean everyone gets a wave..eventually..and you appreciate it more.

Not every break will become crowded, the weather is far too unpredictable for that and breaks always change, that's what i love about it.

Throwing caution to the wind when the forecast looks crap and scoring when all the kooks are in bed watching TV cos the computer says it is onshore and no swell is one of the great things about it

I will also remove all vids from youtube but I hope the red/green thumbers and those who respectfully took the time to present valid arguments stop using the net to suss out conditions or find spots. Try going back to a time when all you had was a synoptic chart in the west and a network of mates that live in places 100's of kms from your home. We should also ban the surf report thread and the radio stations that air daily surf reports, in fact this very site should become a no go for those that want to limit exposure.

I surf down that way. The locals i have surfed with have been more than happy to share. In fact on my last trip one said for me to call him anytime i was heading out as he didn't like surfing on his own all the time I will say that the shops are very tight though with info and i am also aware of a few that won't even let on that they surf for fear of me asking for spots or help Funny part is they also won't let you know a good restaurant to eat at so it wont get busy, but will then be the first to whinge when it closes down as it didn't get enough business
