A few fun micro waves before someone flicked the switch to off. Good to catch up with a couple of mates I havn't seen for some time & stoked to score one of those funky Wilkes fins off a bloke who wanted a more traditional fin for his log. Give it a go tomorrow hopefully if theres a wave

Surfed point packed today on the 9,6 crowd clearer.

There is still nowhere near enough sand.

A seal hung around for half an hour dropped in on a couple and generally made mates with the lineup, did a few jumps and some aerobatics than the wind came in and off he went.

there not normally that friendly unless they come in to hide in the pack from bags of teeth,

Yes - that was just poo... knew it would be small and crowded at Trigg 3rds, but it was really wonky and pitching into 6 inches of water. Only got 5 or 6 on the mal before I gave up..

I could of surfed yesterday, I even tried. But when I looked at the lineup of 40 with multiple drop ins per waist height wave I got my coffee and went home to do gardening. This I believe was more enjoyable than the surf on offer.
At around 7 pm I received two texts from different humans who had surfed down south, I seen head height glass in one text and decent rights in the other. I than attempted to ignore it which was extremely challenging.

my metro reign of terror is over until March

Took a punt out of desperado desperation and coz I have a new board that has not got wet......first choice was poo due to wind....offshore on the road no good on the beach
went into desperado mode and travelled a little further.....was rewarded....sort of.....waist to shoulder high runners 3 guys out 2hours fun b4 wind, pretty gutless but it has been 5+ weeks

It is a virgin no more....TokYo Express is a rocket, can't wait to give it a crack in decent waves

It's sort of based on a V3 Stealth by Mayhem + a mash up of Vons XOVA and Radthorn
6'2 x 20.5 x 2 and a bit!!! Roughly 36/37L
varial foam......expensive!!!!!

Like it too!
Hear good things about the varial foam. Have one in kite i haven't ridden much yet, but will be a tester for whether to include in next 6'2 ish as well

post a report once youve had it out in the waves it's made for

cheers

Got up at 5:15am with fingers crossed that there was enough of a increase in the swell to justify a desparado drive North on questionable winds... Nope!! For God's sake Huey, give me a break you bastard!

Would've been "crowded" mate, a few of us desperadoes were doing the same.....#hueyisabastard.

Got a sneaky hour at the usual circus tent this arvo. Must have timed it for the clown tea break. Not a big shoed sole to be seen. Sure the waves were mediocre, but I went with low expectations. Hoots had.

Mine started out like that.
Actually, those blow ins were probably locals. I haven't surfed there for quite a while.
I still rate it a 4/10 session. I was grinning like a grom.

P.S. That my board survived unscathed as far as I'm aware, is quite amazing too.

Hey Buster,

I managed a cheeky hour on the mal in so-so conditions yesterday before travelling to see the out-laws for Xmas... was average at best, but nice to break the dry spell and the water was beautiful.

Looking forward us metro surfers are going to have to dial-down the expectations - it Southerly city for the next few days
