I heard that a teenage lidder was taken away in an Ambulance after a suspected spinal injury this morning at Secret Harbour.

Haven't heard any further details just yet but I home the young grom is okay.

I spent all morning at secret Harbour and didn't see anything. Was surfing just south of the slsa club.

Fun enough for sunmer but had the obligatory summer kooks and wannabe pros of secret Harbour.

Got very lucky on a set wave that held up real nice and long enough for a few good hacks and turns

Nice to have another spike in the swell today, so it was onshore but it's still a heap of fun and no one around.

Just out of the water now, scored a southern reefie with sets at head high plus. Shared it with just 2 other blokes for 3 hours

Considering it was onshore, I've had an all time session for summer!

Came across something interesting this morning at second carpark, a school of fishermen burleying up the beach between surfers and swimmers. Nice!

Also, there were some good waves coming through up and down the beach, small but clean with good shape but it was filling up fast.

Not so great this morning on Perth's favourite beachie. Zero banks on offer, lumpy backwash affected waves closing out pretty much on the shore...

Went driving and ended up were i should have gone to start with. Great decent sized running lefts and apparently was better before i got their. Sadly only had about 30 minutes so only three or four waves but had a ball

I took out the Hellfire and after my shoulder time off, and 6 kilos heavier it was a struggle to paddle..Arms were spent after only four waves..Al be it a bit of a paddle

Hey,, Toughen up, Rod !
I should have been out today at my fav, but a squash injury and last two days at my fav northern reef with wonky southerly winds means a few days off for me! It would have been nice though.

Actually the crowd factor was up but very friendly again i will say..I really got that place wrong. They all said today was a huge change from previous weeks..

Even a few cute faces in the crowd

crowd?,,, was probably 30-40 out the other day, but that should start thinning out soon. The locals are OK too, if you show some respect.

How bad is Trigg atm?!

Went elsewhere on the mal and did OK. A trip North may have been the go...

A trip north wasn't the go. There was a couple but they were few and far between.

Still I'm sure it was better than metro.

Was that " the bank" Mick? Same issues too fat too slow too fast all on the same wave?

Oh well new board ready, plane warming up on the runway and I will be surfing Serangan tomorow

Yeah same bank Mick, it's pretty well knackered now though. The gutter that was running out the middle has filled in and the bigger ones are closing out now. I had a great surf last time we surfed it, reckon you were just having an off day.

Have fun over there mate, hope you clean up.

Or get cleaned up, either will do.

Nah '07 thirsty Troll Legion. I bought the ally rack off someone who trashed it with a couple of spares not secured properly on it doing the whoopiedoos south of Yardie. Didn't want the weight of steel and couldn't justify ally new. It's only to take swags and boards etc so a couple of bent bars are of no consequence. Still supports my lard arse...
