You could paddle off the beach but it might get a bit lonely. Can't say I've seen anyone surf it before, but it does look tempting sometimes, especially in a howling south or southeasterly wind, cos it's quite protected.

Maybe you won't but we all know there's thousands of locals and blowins here for the mining coin with plenty of free time and money to burn. Uncrowded midweek surfs are a thing of the past. If I see pics of nice waves I want to know where they are but I would rather go out and discover than risk having places blown out with crowds because they were exposed on the net all the time. Out of sight out of mind.
