THE first doping cases have hit the Sochi Winter Olympics.
"I cannot explain how this positive doping test came about," Sachenbacher-Stehle said in a statement, adding that she had all her dietary supplements tested in a laboratory.
Reports said that the positive test - carried out on February 17 - may have come about due to contamination from imported energy bars.

It doesn't surprise me that it happens, but i am always amazed at the lame excuses/explanations.
This one is right up there with "Warney's mum gave it to me."

The worst thing about the drug cheats is the way they rob the real winner, who ends up with the medal, of all that sporting glory and magic that comes with actually winning on the field/slopes. Grrrrr.

Yes it makes you sick with envy !!! Its incredible. But I guess if you have been doing it for that long then it should be achievable. A friend of mine from Sweden telemarks to work in the winter. Takes him 25 mins each way - mostly in the dark.
