Whoa really, what about those barrels, long rides, long walks back oh yes that place sucks it was all a dream

matey its all about be there at the right times. this weekend lm was not the place to be.

alley has had all that from Friday on.

Saturday was a dream day- everything clicked

certain swells, conditions suit certain places.

ill be surfing the best places from now on as much as possible . not just rolling up to one spot regardless.

however its your right to only surf one place as you see fit.

peace brother macaha

Yes and as good as it is there at times, the fkn crowds!!!!!!

My problem - I live too far from the H2O.

I should be stoked but there will be others to take your spots

Or you could come try new breaks too.......

Need to rotate those arms then hips ! I love backhand cutties as you can really smash the lip as you come back at it - similar to a back hand reo - then you can bottom turn with pace. I find his harder in my forehand.

Yeah, whatever Ted.

You make it sound easy. No worries on a shorty or midlength, but the 9'4" is a bit awkward and ugly. And yep, like many people, I prefer my backhand, despite knowing it is harder in some ways.

I was talking short boards - my long boarding needs a lot of work - so no position to advise !

You'll never improve now. Look what moving has done for you! Perfect barrels means you'll never pull the longboard again. They are holding you back.

I'm fairly young and good looking so I don't fit in with the rest of the fat old farts that ride longboards

"Johnson, My wave."
Not to be greedy and paying back those who use their longboards as a crutch to catch every ripple they can with no regard for anyone but themselves.
The perfect longboard for me could well be a Bic since I can ride one and happily call others onto my waves as I know even if we accidentaly bump rails it won't matter in the least.

so funny reading comments associating old and longboards, unless you're a pimply face boy wanking off to a target catalog.

People with no respect for others in the surf. Dropping in, snaking, not taking their turn, plus also calling everyone off every wave. Takes the enjoyment out of it.

You mean those people who are most vocal when someone returns the favour on them. I love guys who snake, snake, snake then get upset when someone drops in on them. They like the rules to be followed when it's to their advantage. Lots of rights and no responsibilities.

And ultimately that's what it is all about.

Even if I vehemently disagree with the provincialism.

If you are smiling, you are doing something right and spice (variety) isn't for everyone - just ask your local Indian restaurant.
