Whats it looking like surfwise where your at? We are finally looking a decent swell and wind combo down here...should be 4-6ft and offshore tomorrow morning...a welcome respite as feb was crap for surf down here.......

I was hoping it would be good here today but sadly we have not had a visit from Sandra winds just yet.....a shame as conditions for the reefs would have been nice with the SW winds and a high tide in the middle of the day...gutted.

Looking good though the rest of the w/e......Sunday arvo / Monday could get pretty interesting.

Well, when I left saltwater point today it was 6 foot, offshore and pumping.

A bit of carnage in the water, one of the regualars snapped his longboard in half and another snapped his leggy and ended up on the rocks.

Unfortunately its the weekend tomorrow and the weekend warriors from Newcastle and everywhere else will descend, it ends up looking like the Goldy when its on.

Yeah good to catch up once again mac & good to meet MR too, I'll ban myself from the shop for a while so you can actually get some work done.

My arvo continued with a couple of six packs delivered to the Clearwater boys, where we continued to solve the worlds problems with the assistance of Mr James Squire. A great arvo all round.

Chrispy, I'm heading for Bundaberg in an hour, have to be there by 3 or so. Leaving to be back to the Goldie by 7pm tomorrow night. I've got your number from Mac, so will try to catch you on the way back tomorrow. Staying at my sons place in Coomera.

Good to catch up again Mac, and nice to meet you Vanders.... Don't let SDR or Mac talk you out of what YOU want to ride mate,,,,..

Surf at Lennox and Byron, especially Wategos. Travelling by bike blows chunks when the surf is good!

which one? unlucky.

Here are a few from the last session.....I shot them on a 400mm prime lens with a 2 * converter on a 1.6 sensor.....so effectively a 1200mm plus lens....as you can tell this place is a long way out to sea . The size looks a bit deceptive but the last shot gives you a reasonable idea of the sets. Lots of water moving and some good poundings were being had.

Mac,
Yeah, I know a photo is required! I've almost got over the shock, which means I'm almost ready to post a pic!

Warning, it's a train wreck! One of the worst snaps ever!
BIG repair required... but someone else can think about financing that.
I'll just sell it as a 2 piece.

PS - go to the docs, make sure you get it sorted early.
Tropical parasites and other varieties of tropical "issues" can become a big problem.
