Well SP I couldn't help myself the board is ordered

10 x 23 1/4 x 3 1/2 tint to be advised,thinking a fabric inlay with matching tint colour.
ETA end of Feb,but I know they will push it out earlier.

So the Redline is going

My pleasure Mac!!

I have thought of a special Hawaiian feature for your board... A small photo of Mac wearing a hula skirt and coconut bra, printed on tissue paper and glassed into the board !!

Or maybe it's the Christmas beers talking to me!?

So you finally ordered a 10 footer Mac. Well done . You'll get more waves and a much nicer glide out of a 10. Did the guys at Mac T recommend 23 1\4 wide ? Seems a bit narrow for a 10 footer .

smh I knew you would be impressed you obct and bigspazz have had me seriously thinking about a bigger board.See I do take in what you guys are all about.

First up it was 23 1/2 then I spoke with GT he said 23 1/4 but I said leave it at 23 1/2

Now Vanders 10 footer is going to be stored in my shed at work to make room, sorry Vanders

I would need to go to the max on every dim to even get within a bulls roar of the volume I already have in my 10.6, but it sure would be nice to have something that turned a quicker than the 10.6.

You're a larger bloke Mac so you would benefit heaps from a bigger board. Once you get the feel of it you will want to ride it all the time. Going to a more modern shape and rails is a good thing as well because you will find it more user friendly than a heavy single fin. My 10 is a single but a modern shape with a tucked rail around the tail and it goes good in a lot of different waves.
I would imagine things would be flat out at the factory so you could be waiting for a while to get it.

that board.I haven't had a good surf on a Redline since two boards
ago.My Sunset 9.8 is not being used because the Splice 9.6 dose it all but
a 10 footer will be a good change up.Said that tomorrow the newie will be

You would be talking about the Munoz ? I found it turned pretty good for a board that size. You must be a smaller gent. Unlike Mac.

if 110 kg is small, then my new nic is tiny tim.

the munoz can draw beautiful big arcs in either direction, but snap turns are laboured and stalls are near impossible.

I love the board, but it needs to maintain a certain momentum in order to overcome its considerable inertia.

Its a beast alright . From memory its over 24 wide because I had to carry it on my shoulder when I had one. Its got a fair bit of rocker in it too.
I thought you were only a smaller bloke Ob.

24.25 to be exact and I can only carry it wax side in so I can get some grip on the hard down rails.

The width is the reason I only went in once today.

Yesterday I had 2 long sessions, once by myself in the morning and a late one with MR.

The inside of both legs started to chaff real bad by the last one and I made it worse this morning so I decided to give the arvo sesh a miss.

I now know what a Ho would feel like after a busy day

Surfed with a guy on an 11 footer the other day, they look monstrous but I'll tell ya what couple of strokes and he was off. It was a Tuflite as well so plenty of flotation there.

It looks like the renaissance of this model had its genesis in a real live board from the 90s.

http://www.mctavish.com.au/_blog/McTavish/post/Wategos_cruiser/

Isn't it strange how we forget these old types until someone comes along and says "how about this?" "let's see if we can do a modern version?".

Pigs are a good example, and I don't remember too many people bothering about logs 15 years ago, Trackers could be another example, I remember them from the 70s and they didn't look much like the ones we have now.

I guess you could even throw Simmons and twinys into the brew as well.

I wonder what will be the next design to get jazzed up.

Correct obct, they dropped the Wategos Cruiser because most folk have never heard of Wategos,so now its just named The Cruiser.
