Woke up this morning feeling like I'd been hit by a bus, severe joint pain all through my body, spots started develop by mid morning.

Went to the docs and he's diagnosed it as Ross River Fever to be confirmed on Friday with bloods they took today.

Have any of you fine fellows suffered with it? If so what should I expect the recovery time to be?

Holy sh1tballs dude, a mate had it, his big tip was not to try and push through it but instead to rest up and be super healthy...

Hoping for a quick recovery dude...

mac, that's brightened up an otherwise painful night & day.

I have a new understanding and sympathy for chronic arthritis sufferers, nearly every joint in my body feels like it's on fire, I couldn't even brush my own teeth this morning.

Anyway chin up, if this is the worst that can happen to me I'm still doing much better than many others.

Go the greenroom, it's the only thing I've got the energy to do.

Hey big V8 - don't be frightened to gobble down a chocolate bar or two - it can help with instant energy hits , your glands (not the trouser variety sadly but ....) might swell too

That does not sound good Vanders, constant joint pain and lethargy is not a fun gig.

Maybe you can snatch some small victories from the jaws of defeat while you're recovering:

> No more taking out the garbage
> No more having to get up off the couch to get your own beer
> A sympathy root will be a lot easier score, along with the bonus of a better chance of a cowgirl or maybe even a reverse cowgirl if you can manage to squeeze out a tear or two.
> How about "Honey, my wrist joints are too sore and I really need a wank! do you mind giving me a hand?"

The possibilities are endless

Seriously mate, get well soon so we can surf arra again.

PS. so I can teach you how a Hotlog should be ridden

I spoke to the poor fella this evening. He is in good spirits surprisingly and kept saying its not the end of the world - lots of other people are in worse shape than I am right now - class act.

All the best Vanders - hope things improve sooner rather than later for ya.

Confirmed RRF, had a better day today though. The doc said the bloods showed up as full blown a case as he's ever seen, yesterday I felt like I was half paralysed I had so little movement in my joints, I couldn't even hold a glass.

Anyway I'm hoping it's hit me hard at the start & will taper off quick too, fingers crossed.

Get out and catch some waves for me fellas.
