has anyone heard how Ray is,apparently ragdolled over the rocks at arrawarra on saturday arvo in solid surf,pretty bad head and back injuries for what ive been told.
they paddled back out after Rod Hocker drowned and was taken away by ambulance.
i believe Ray was taken to hospital by ambo as well.

I've heard nothing, but it sounds really serious, it's not good to interact with any rocks, but Arra would be especially bad because of the types of rock. They're broken up into segmented shards, they're almost impossible to walk on in bare feet so I shudder to think what it would be like to be dragged across them

Jeepers. Two very experienced people on one day - must have been tough conditions. Lets hope Ray is ok. Some good chat downstairs about RH.

yeah ted,apparantly ray scarped his back and shoudler but hit his head ,chat was the surf was solid with a lot of power and as obct said,the worst rocks in the world,like a cheese grater,if i find out more i will post.he went across the rocks like a loose surfboard on the front of whitewater.
RH's wife sue has been reading the thread on Rod and is stoked about the kind words from his many customers and friends.

I read that he had a scare before hand kiting-rh


told mr goddard later he had the stress test and all was good.

reports say he drowned but there are suggestions he might have passed out- again.

is it confirmed that he had those tests because it doesn't sound right that he may have passed out again if those test had cleared him


I have personal interest in what happened. scary- the same for me 2 years ago


rip rh and condolences to the family.

True mate I surfed there with Lance and Vanders the water was so clean and geez those rocks looked bloody sharp and theres no escaping them as you would know.I'm sure the Mc guys would know his condition I may ask on Saturday.

Wow, this is really tragic news,
Hoping Ray pulls through OK and devastated to hear Rod Hocker passed. Sincere condolences to Rods family and friends.
And here I am over here thinking after seeing photos, Arrawarra doesnt get heavy and the rocks looked friendly, clearly not the case on both accounts.
a sad day.
