Scotty will hate this one, then again, he won't read read it so it don't matter

I'm still not home yet, still a few hours away but I've had a great adventure because I've taken the long way back, first stop Scott's head, smooth but flat, second stop, Port Macquarie, lumpy and small, third stop was supposed to be old bar but I was busy on the phone and missed the turn off.
So I decided to go home via The Lakes Way, I have not been along it for years and besides, that section of 110 klik highway between Taree and Bulladelah is as boring bat sh!t.
Pretty little town foster, but once again, no surf and by now I was getting desperate scanning the distant southern vistas for big head lands and the chance of a protected northern corner, but it was fun just tying.
Then as I drove through the industrial estate to get back to The Lakes Way I spotted a surf shop with a legendary name on it "Bob Brown", so I pulled in for a look and ended up having a nice chat with him for a bit.
He hade some killer looking LBs there but you can tell he really knows his way around a gun, wood or polly, they were magnificent, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
After that, things really did start to pick up for me, driving south I spotted a sign saying "Boomerang Beach" and it looked like it would be behind a pretty decent sized headland and when I got there, it was surfable, but just. Went out with the expectation that three would be my limit, I stopped counting when I got to half a dozen. Not great, but I was in the water with a really friendly young local lady with an effervescent smile and a charming personality and it was just a joy to be out of the car and in the water.
Then back in the car to finish the drive along The Lakes Way and best of all, it was the part along Smiths Lake which is one of the really good drives in Northern NSW, and because it was late afternoon, this light danced through every bit of countryside and and silver lake top.
Double bonus, the local Fm station was doing it's regular 6 o'clock rock and roll broadcast so I had The Big O, Richie Vallens, Elvis, Little Anthony & The imperials, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee and a host of others with me in the car the whole way.
I was able to remember just how good Jonny really was and how the ladies were all hound dogs that made me not not not responsible when they had kisses sweeter than wine and they gave me great balls of fire.
I've got to go to work tomorrow
