Yep, like Vanders said, it was a good day, neither of us are too fussy about waves so we take what ever's on offer. Starting at day break we checked out everything from corindi down to, back Emerald ( the north end of Moonee if you, like) before settling on Emerald for a couple of hours. 'twas a much better session than yesterday's at north mulla because although the waves were fewer, they wear longer and better quality. Yesterday's at mulla, we were just being a couple of greedy pigs.
Then at Midday we went in at main beach woopi because no one else was in except a surf school in tiny ankle snappers, and we were worried that it will be the last surf we would get today, and once again we scored heaps of waved all,to ourselves.
Then a late arvo cruise along the beach in vans 4be from flattop to, sandy beach so we could walk over bare bluff to check back sandy before getting on the highway to look at back emerald and deciding it was our best bet for the late arvo wave. Lots of shorties, but we still managed to score a few good sized ones.
Stopped at woopi pub on the way back to cleanse our soles and to make an abusive phone call to MR for having the audacity not to be here this weekend, it was gratifying to know that the surf in Sydney was crap and he was suffering, justice was served.
Then a curry and into the fart sack to do it all again tomorrow

One of the interesting anecdotes from yesterday was when we were with RG in the shaping shed, and it's indicative of the artistry of some people, like RG. He had some little model surfboards layer out on a workbench alongside some colourful resin blocks and a few bits of wood. I said to him " are you making a Diorama" he said "what's a diorama" and I explained how it's like a 3 dimensional picture in a box and he said " yes, but I didn't know that was what they were called" so when we went into the kitchen for a cold drink, there was one hanging on the wall that he had done with the most beautiful composition you could imagine, made up of resin tint windows and fin scraps.
In other words, he just has this artistic ability, without even knowing he has it, or what it is, he just does it, no wonder his boards are so beautiful.
