Danelli! Don't do it..... Don't be seduced by those McT blokes..... Just more mass produced boards for the newly coiffed wannabe hipsters.....or boat shoe wearers...

Go visit your local Tugun shaper and have a look at what he has to offer in the way of classy logs that give you a point of difference and a great ride to boot.

Oh, make sure it's over 10 feet. 10'1" ought to do it......

10ft ?? Problem is I am not sure if it is a log that I am craving or just a big ass cruiser that I can take to LM and dominate. Maybe even a Tuffy that will catch the ripples of the passing fishing boats. I'm not really into nose riding, but I love trim on flat rockered board.

Since all the hipsters are now riding logs I hope you are still young, fit and less than 70 kgs ringing wet or you may not be dominating them on a similarly sized board.

Jesus....I hate vimeo clips. Bloody things hardly ever play properly.

Who does big kick arse Skip Frye style 11' plus gliders?

Anyone in Qld?

Grant Newby has an 11ft Skip Frye. I've ridden it and call it the "Ripple King"surfboardsbygrantnewby.blogspot.com.au/2011/11/11ft-glider.html

I've been scouting for a Skip Frye style Glider for a long time now with no luck - didn't realise Grant had knocked similar boards up - thanks for that link....I came across this one below and have just ordered one....different to a Glider I know but big volume and not a 'log' - that was the main criteria for me.

I've a 6'4 Sanctum Twin Keel which I've been super impressed with so had no problem buying another off them - looks both different to what we all see in the line-up and IMHO sweet to lunge into the curl with and also be a bit of a crowd beater on the north coast points.

Curious about the design of a flat rocker HP board? Be interesting to see what Steve comes up with.

So am I was thinking of doing a single fin off mine (9'6" SDR HP), less rocker, add 2" to the nose, soften the rails slightly, and roll/flatten out the bottom removing the vee concave combo in the tail. Reminds me I have to return his call the wife's board is done and sitting in the rack.
