You're cheeky Lacey. By the way, you are on notice. If you don't have a Longboard by Summer, we might have to ask Laury to ban you from this room!

Good work Mac!

Great job Mac..

Not sure on too much protein powders and such? Unless you want to bulk up. Just good old food, exercise and rest is the best.

Want to loose weight and be fit, PALEO DIET

That's what I'm doing but I'm not looking at it as a diet more a lifestyle choice, there's no limit on how much you can eat just eat the right things.

I've dropped 9.6kg since April 16.

A vast amount of info, recipes etc here: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/#axzz2VNnodaCH

The forum on that site is brilliant.

Mac originally put me onto these two;

Well done Mac!!

No questions the Paleo thing works amazing. A simple philosophy is just limit what you eat from a packet. It's simple to do and the best thing is you do not get hungry.

Don't listen to them about the powders, if you want to really push yourself as much as you can you have to eat well, sleep well and protein and fish oil are the best you can get. The #1 comment I have heard is that 'you can't out train a bad diet' super true, if you don't eat well you can't even train as much as you want to as the recoveries will slow you down. The other is that weight loss comes from the kitchen, fitness comes from training.

After packing on 8kg in a month in Thailand and a sore shoulder before I left I am back on the program as well, 2 weeks and I am 4kg down already and the lungs are releasing again. Soon I'll be able to keep up with Lacey again!!

Good luck mate!!

PS Kelly Margetts put us onto some supplements from Punish in Miami, they are a boxing brand who have made proteins for people that are not looking to build mass but simply provide what is required for your body to repair and recover quickly. Sugar free, and all natural. I have a mate who is dual Qld kickboxing champ who told me in the Muay Thai and boxing circles this is the only stuff they will now use.

Re: Paleo Diet... yep, a good thing. Mac, the CrossFit guys will also give you a good workout.

My other tips: instead of shopping at the supermarket, go to the Green Grocer, The Butcher, and The Bakery for bread. Green grocers usually have milk, eggs and nuts these days too. And apart from bread, you are on track for the Paleo diet without even trying hard!

I also chow down wild Italian Parsley from the garden, plus the Rocket Lettuce Weed plant. I pull other weeds, but I let parsley and rocket grow. These two plants are high in Vitamin C, Iron, etc. I think it helps we stop getting colds...

The wife has recently told me that Probiotics like the Vakult drink is also brilliant for avoiding the flu.

Flu Shot - probably not worth the carboard that the vaccine gets delivered in...

(PS - I like beer, and I'm always 3-5 kegs heavy! - and I've never had the "skun rabbit" wire frame that people like Johnnie Gill at Keyo Surfboards naturally have!)
