leashless said.."What size NPJ quartet (friend has one for sale) and what size RTT (may have one for sale) are you thinking? I also happen to have a pacer (Matt Keane pre-shape) quad fish that has an egg nose and chine rails and lastly a DVS quad wasp which could be available."
Was thinking 606 for the RTT and prob the same for the quartet - depends if NPJ can do a flat deck for the quartet. What size quartet is for sale????
I can go shorter however I like to err on the side of more volume. Wave count is key...
have you had the RTT out yet? Are you selling this after 1 day???

Just talked to my mate who
had the NPJ quartet which he sold at lunchtime but no loss for you it was only 5'10".
He was underwhelmed by its performance and likened its ride to a single fin.
He has a rtt that he loves and more recently had a cv2 made for him.
Gary doesn't pack a whole lot of foam into his boards. My rtt is 6' X 21" x 2&3/4" and although it has foam under the chest and a fairly flat deck it thins out in the nose and tail. Sitting in the water with the board level underneath me (I'm 90 kgs) has me floating at my middle ribs.
To be honest I'm not that comfortable being that submerged and prefer boards that float me more at my bottom rib (like my nano or McCoy at 43.4 and 42 litres respectively) so the rtt is probably only 38 litres or less.
It paddles well enough and felt good, with potential, on some low tide beachies yesterday morning on the gold coast which were breaking and then filling up.
I'll see how it goes in decent waves but bit concerned my wave count will be down enough to pick other boards over it because of that.
That will decide its fate.
