God himself couldn't convince my GF to sit on the beach...

Surf locks are cheaper to, imagine all the nice stuff to you'd have to do to pay off that debt. .

Thanks all

Was thinking about getting a blank key cut to pop in boardies or leggie etc but need to check with the manufacturer about the Immobilizer/ alarm problem Ted mentioned.

I Just rinse the key out before putting into the lock........but then I don't usually surf spots that don't have a beach shower close by,.....

I thought Jesus played for Jerusalem????

Mate I leave my master key on the front floor and use the plastic key to lock the doors using central locking only, saying that I surf where there's a heap on joggers and families walking by so its save as save can be in this day and age.

dont take your key in the water guys...got a mate that totally destroyed the door lock and the ignition from pushing a wet key (salt water !!!) into his lock and ignition every morning....ended up wrecking everything...luckily it was an old $hit box car...but it wasnt worth fixing in the end.

started out at Nazareth and finished at Jerusalem, his career as a striker was cut short unexpectedly,as he was terrible with the high cross and subsequently crucified by the fans!

Great pic , showing a bit of athletic ability in that one

Would love to see the follow up shots to see how it finished

On the key thing I stupidly chuck my keys under my car , normally when I surf it is just me and I am often the only car around so if some idiot did decide to pinch the car it would be a long walk home

Have been meaning to grab one of those key safe devices for a while .

There is a young bloke here who is a mad keen surfer , goes out for 2 or 3 hours at a time , the whole time his girlfriend sits in the car and waits for him . Must be love

My wife after 20 years together would think I was going mad if I asked her to come and watch me surf . easier and cheaper to buy the key safe lock

From memory, I think it was going bad, there is a little kid just out of shot trying to figure out where to go....??

Where is Kadil??. Been MIA, hope he is still surfing.

A good key cutter can cut you a blank.
I just take mine into the water. Still works fine to my amazement!

I do the same, but cut most od the handle part off the key. Not needed to open the door and fits better into the leggie.

I always rinse the key well and dry before using. salt and water are not good for precision machines like lock barrels.

What followup shots

Back on the key question, I got another surf key cut today $8.50 . Mr Minit now has waterproof transponder keys, but mine would have been $179.

One of my glass back window panels on the old toyota got smashed and being a cheap a** I just never got it fixed. I'm hoping they think it's already broken into so no point having a look around. My view is leave anything valuable at home and a few dollar coins reward under the seats for the really determined
