26 hrs til kick off. They are saying "most anticipated game ever" fark never heard that before. Mind you, it's gotta be close to it. This is the best I've felt in a few years. I reckon the Blues have the Maroons rattled and there's a touch of uncertainty creaping into the QLD camp. We've got the cattle up front - Gallen, Watmough, Bird, Lewis, Grant - and this is where it will be won for the blues. These blokes are tailor made for origin and are as tough as they come. I love seeing 'old school' in young blokes - no gen Y here.
The flipside is the memory of Mark Coyne in the the dying seconds breaking our hearts again.
I don't reckon anybody can predict how the script will go tomorrow night and that's the essence of origin. GO THE BLUES.

So any early thoughts on the big game tom? Prices look about fair to me. I am reluctant to jump on anything at the moment. Hopefully NSW will score early points and push the QLD price out a bit so I can set at something more juicy. Sad thing is that traditionally QLD win the first 20 mins of the 3rd match and we all know how some teams perform when the stats suggest they can not win - Chrispy knows this all too well I am sure

First try scorer options are 3 to 1 QLD over NSW in recent times so if you are having a punt on this one you may want to consider this stat.

I think QLD by 6 in a low scoring encounter.

QLD outplayed in game one and win, outplayed in game 2 and just lose - yes NSW have been performing well but its now a QLD home game and they have significant room for improvement whilst I would suggest that there is not a lot more left for NSW to improve - sorry Scotty.

Fark Ted another ESP. The blues don't have the attacking flare with the halves they have - limited options. The only chance is to bash the living crap out of maroon forwards and win up the middle. See what happens.

You sum it up perfectly Chrispy

NSW do not have creative play makers - end of story Its easy for carney in the NRL as there are always weak opponents that he can pick on to beat....in origin there is no weak link.

I think Scotty said this game will be won in the forwards and NSW's have the guys to win this battle,Queensland backs have more skill and class than the Blues INHO.

QLD forward pack step up or its gone.

BTW I had to laugh when the NSW media decided to bag Mal for dropping Dave Taylor just cause he had a blinder against cellar dwellers Penrith without Lewis, Grant, Jennings in their side.

the great man Wally was just on the radio and they asked him if he was worried his reply was simple.....we looked at the papers the last 4 yrs and the NSW press says in the first year they looked that this is the best team NSW has put out in a long time and they will win, then the next year they said that this is the best team NSW has put out in a long time and they will win, then the next year they said that this is the best team NSW has put out in a long time and they will win, then this year they said that this is the best team NSW has put out in a long time and they will win and next year they will say that this is the best team NSW has put out in a long time and we will win.

I nearly choked on my flat white reading it Ted. I am in the process of trying to secure Wally for our footy club sportsmen's day in August. He's hard to get due to media commitments. $6600 + business air travel + accom is not cheap but worth it as a draw card to get 200 + bums on seats.

A fresh new carton of New has just been parked in the fridge. Should be ice cold by the time the first one hits my lips. Still undecided on the theme for dinner.

Might have to roast some pork after the Pups effort the other day.

Jeepers Mac what an experience that could have been in so many ways but instead you just left him alone. I feel bit for him as he was dynamite a few yrs back but could not make it in to origin. Must be something in the water up there as when he played at the tigers he seemed to go pretty good.

Sounds like you and CMC and co are having a bit of a crack in the SB room this arvo. I am over sticking my head in those types of arguments - same dam arguments all the bloody time.

Now back to the real story of the day and beer number 2 has just been retrieved from the fridge.
