Broscience has even reached seabreeze - God help us all.
Don't know what your point is or what that word is,,couldn't be bothered googling it.
i think its good talking about food, food groups, as an older surfer diet and excises is very important in keeping me surfing.
lots of blokes from this room and others touch on diet and others talk of weight battles even food/lifestyle related diseases.
i don't know jack sh!t about it, but feeding young developing league players and working with nutritionist at the Broncs
gave me a little insight into food groups nutrition when to protein when to carb, nothing the average Joe's don't know.
i think we should talk more about what we put into our body so we can surf longer with obesity climbing in this country
and friends dropping dead we need to.
Good points.
The cobra has spoken

My point is (and like LaceyLane this post may come across strong) – you had Ted post a picture of a burger (beef, cheese, bread and potato) followed by a joke about how unhealthy that is… Then LaceyLane posted a “strong” viewpoint on this joke. This is then followed by the advice that the following food is bad food for us:
Beef, Cheese, bread, potato (all in the picture), beef (again), sugar and saturated fats.
To even make this worse the following is recommended to be eaten:
Beef and eggs.
LaceyLane also provides the suggestion that “anyone over 40 should have a hard look at what they are eating”. Whilst I understand LaceyLane’s strong emotional connection to the issue of heart disease, to provide suggestions on how to combat this with unproven “broscience” is irresponsible and frankly annoying.
Also Cobra, the suggestion that having knowledge about carbohydrate intake (also known as carb loading) and protein intake dispersion for developing (I am assuming teenage, as they are under your supervision) athletes is very irrelevant to an average adult and food consumption needs.
Now if I want to discuss health, nutrition and disease I will turn around and talk to some of my colleagues as this is the field we are in OR I will go to a forum where the discussion of these is at the forefront – However I come here to talk about surfing (and particularly fins within this thread).
Whilst I encourage the promotion and discussion of health issues I become frustrated when advice is provided on these issues based on little scientific evidence or research and solely on what your bro/mate/friend/acquaintance down at the café told you.
