Richmond has bloody good show of knocking off Geelong

go tiges!

Game of the round for mine

Interesting to see how riewaldt goes after all the media through the week

North vs. Port Adelaide has the potential to be a belter too! North to get up ina tight one.

Tigers front 6 look strong... Deledio, Edwards, Jackson, Vickery, Riewoldt, McGuane.

But I think The Cats just have a little bit too much depth through all sections of the ground. Backs, Mid, and Forward. Roughly 30-32 Premierships between the Cats starting tonight.

Yep got too much for me too , went to bed .

Big game next week , the bombers / cats .

Cats are looking good if they can keep their old blokes on the paddock .

Not a AFL type of person still enjoy a good game tho.

I can't believe Tassie has not got a team in the comp.
Every Tasmanian I've met are huge AFL fans, just doesn't
make sense to me but many things don't

Is hard to believe , lots and lots fly to Melbourne to watch the big games .

They don't get much bigger then nest weekend Hawks vs Swans last years grand final replay

And cats vs bombers 2 unbeaten teams in the comp .

Bring it on

Agree with your tips Pup

But how good are the bombers going considering the pressure they are under .

Look at how the sharks have folded under the same pressure

yep the Origin concept pre-AFL was well supported by WA and SA with massive crowds on a weekday! I remember wagging school to see all the champs from the VFL going at it. It obviously lost relevance once the AFL was initiated as the early teams were basically State teams with the odd Victorian or middle-eastern player poached for various reasons. I think its time and place has passed with the state based loyalty/passion now with your local team, it annoys me when a West Aussie supports a non-WA team ('') or even worse, is interested in league('')

BTW the West Coast are back boys, impressive win over the powerhouse that is the Footscray Football Club, getting a few key players back over the next two rounds. Thoughts on Geelong v Essendon? thinking the Bombers are good value at $2.30

Ridiculously good goals from 2 stars here. Senior in the pouring wet rain is a highlight of the highlights for my money! (3:00ish)

Senior v's Junior, Ablett v's Ablett.

great vid mate, senior for mine, a complete freak that did stuff that looked impossible. Still not sure why Jnr left the Cats, how many premierships are the GC going to win in his time?

Cash. And lots of it.

And what has been going on at The Bombers? I think its time for Mr. Hird to step down. This is from yesterdays report and it makes daming reading I reckon.......

"In particular the rapid diversification into exotic supplements, sharp increase in frequency of injections, the shift to treatment offsite in alternative medicine clinics, emergence of unfamiliar suppliers, marginalisation of traditional medical staff, etc, combine to create a disturbing picture of a pharmacologically experimental environment never adequately controlled or challenged or documented within the club in the period under review."

I reckon Senior now...but Junior by the end of his career might have him.....he could win another Brownlow if his team can win enough games and imagine the damage he could do playing as a permanent forward for the last few years...Darren jarman or Leigh Mathews style?

Ted I reckon Hird had a very worried look on his face during that interview last night .

As they said in the interview , no position at the club is safe . Good to see them being straight to the point , no bull**** and pussiefooting around what happened .

Only taken me ten goes to post that , what's up with my funky new message editor , still no faces

yep....gone - taken from The Australian

"An assumption was made by the senior coach that his instructions would be followed to the letter. In early 2012, there appears to have been no structured follow-up, monitoring or recording of compliance with the wishes of the coach."

That reflects poorly on Hird's own governance. Consenting to a program that would teeter constantly on the edge of legality, he did not ensure his guidelines were rigorously observed

Found some classic quotes from the AFL recently......

I treasure Leigh Matthews' reputed remark a few years back: ''Everyone else is going to the AFL Team of The Century dinner to see if they made it. I am going to see if I am captain.'')

"Well, either side could win it, or it could be a draw."
Dermott Brereton

"I've never had major knee surgery on any other part of my body."
Luke Darcy
