Lots of talk of "gliders are only small wave boards" blah blah blah... That's actually not true... the reason they became popular in southern California was access to surf uncrowded unbreaking waves of many sizes on the outer reefs...
I'm not a fan of 10'+ gliders and have no desire to ride one again, I found my 10'" to be too much board and if i changed anything on my Hotlog it would be to go shorter... But I can appreciate those who surf them well...
That said, you don't need a massive 12' board to achieve trim and glide....
I get beautiful natural trim and glide on all my boards, even my 6'2" Fish as trim and glide is more about hull design, rocker and rails but mostly wave/board position... not purely volume and length...
But i can appreciate those who can master a craft (SUP's excluded of course

)
Surf what makes you happy in waves you enjoy, just don't be a wave pig douche because you can sit 10m further out...
