Hi Bob, this is true! the bottom of 26/11/2015 was very good and was channeled without any other extra operation of router... but moving rocker line I blow out other secondary lines aside rocker one which have been create the extra bites
This morning I blend bottom line (rails and stringer) from the last rocker you like. From it. Later on, I'm going to create new secondary lines and will find extra bites as you did like before.

Hi Bob, been working again on" Da BomB" this morning . I completely re-design foil, input more rocker I can to do a reliable rail line to stick at those gnarly wave curl of the Pacific coast of California. ,Tomorrow morning I'll work on the plan shape, drawing the extra bites you liked on the sample of 26/11/2015 .

Yes our first project I went the widest point in mid position . This time I'm going to pull that point forward and balance appropriate rocker . I
That kind of rocker allow to dig more concaves in the plan shape as you can see on the 2 last pictures below. It's on that design I'm working on this week, time to time...
As well due to CNC process I have to organise rail line draw to a certain distance from the blank outline. That distance given by the size of the tool holding the router and number of axes worked. You should ask Rolland about this

I like the double concave with the hard rails in the tail and think, maybe, we should keep it simple, with no fishtail. Let CNC do all the shaping.....
Comparing to the side view of Kings board, above: something seems off. Maybe the board looks too thick or the bottom curve is too consistent. Seems like the bottom curve of the Kings board is flatter in the mid-section.

More than Saber-tooth tail that Simmon shapes on your boards, as well as him, I'm more focus on the bottom plan shape and rocker which are the hidden part but such important shaping parameters.
Obviously the Saber-tooth tail is a very good tail with straight and parallel rail giving bite to your backside body torque as seen on your last video riding the Rino. Also give more power to frontside drives coming from feet.

BTW; I'm still unable to computed assisted draw that kind of tail design.

In my opinion, dingability and capacity to hurt you is a major factor in choosing a tail (and nose) design...

Yes, I love rounded square and shallow diamond tails :-)

Love your last design Kami. wide planshape for general fun, and generous rocker to be able to dig concaves in it for control/speed could be a killer combo...

I agree with Colas re: the "hurtability" factor of sharp noses and tails. after having been practically skewered by the nose of my Naish X32 in the abs and groin and twice having fractured my ribs, which takes the fun out of laughing, coughing and sneezing (and sex) for a week to 10 days.
I really like the outline and tail shape in Da King 8 2 31 125 posted 22/12/2015, above.

I'm working on the bottom curve which is too consistent, I agree. You get a right eye , bottom curl as to be refine, blending it with front and rear concaves is the key to find the right bottom shape.
Also "hurtablity " as Colas safely talk about, we will stick on this large diamond tail, must be a typical Cal design too
In that range of safety , this is one this purpose why I stick bodyboard on the tail of my board

Hello Bob, I did work on Da Bomb those last hours and subscribe a license viewer as this address below. It's hard way to move the board with mouse, bit disappointed for what I pay for

To have the most flush exit of the water off the tail, I work on rocker to blend front concave in a few tail lift as I can to induce a minimum bottom curve in the middle of the rocker.

So tricky to graphically blend concave shapes inside each others.

Holla el gran Chilebear, there is no luck just a lot of work practicing on S3D software. Since we talked about your board, I spend lot of time on CAD learning on it. So I'm now ready to design as a pro like the picture above showing deepness of concaves on board bottom which is the result of so subtle direction of drawing lines . Blending transitions of mono concave into double vee concaves been the hardest to do for any shaper because it's a result of correct rocker and rail line.
Will be fun to make built your custom board in Chile from design done far away. If you cant have a CNC you can print templates from S3D file.
So we stay in contact. have fun.

Happy new board, Bob. Since I told it has been completed, I spend lot more hours on your file, I add more rocker as I visualize waves from Blacks beach you may need those 9.9" inches of rocker. I made the rear lines as straight as I can draw to have the more harder and straight rails to hold the power and speed of your local waves.
Finally I really mail you the file this time, let spin the router now, Rolland will do a good job on his CNC
