I've made sure the tracks are stuffed full of foam like it says in the instructional video, But that doesnt help.
As soon as I tilt the board so the battery is out the water the connection comes back, then disappears once board is upright again.

Has it got carbon tracks? This is an issue with Armstrong boards. Solution is to route out a hole in the bottom of the track and fill with resin. Apparently it works but I have not done it. I have had issues with murky water, fine in clear water but if a lot of debris in the water intermittent cutouts which is weird.

Thanks. Unsure if the tracks are carbon, but clearly its the board that is blocking the signal. The idea of making a signal window through the board seems sensible but I'd like to find out more before attacking it with a router. The water is clear here, that not the problem. I thought just water on its own blocked the bluetooth, hence the need to put foam in the tracks.

I'll use the wifes facebook to check the foildrive group as I dont have FB.

Also the lads cut out a short circle window near the top of my armie board. Works perfectly now.

I think mast box position is a bit personal Rob, I ride Code S series at-least a few inches back from you, it's just how I ride I think, more upright stance and turning off the tail a bit. There's no right and wrong. I had a test ride on the zapple and didn't find the rail bite either. But I am loving my DC custom and had an awesome day on it just last Saturday. I don't have the super sized trench, just a standard trench cut in mine. But there's not doubt about the performance with the trench boards. They are awesome. Good vid mate.

Piros on fire as usual, keep the content coming.
Really enjoyed the board comparison between DC, Appletree and Sunova.
Anyone got any thoughts on the best board for both FD and non assist prone?
I've half landed on the Amos Cruiser (non trench) in 5'8" @ 40L.
I'm 80kg and semi competent on foil riding Code gear.
Cheers in advance.

Thanks for the props guys , I'm just loving it. DJ the remix was by Moreno J . Chief the 5-4 flat bottom Kruzer would be the best for prone & FD . That's exactly what it was designed for.

i've been struggling for quite a while trying to dial in the foil assist (i use the Manta) and most of my problems center around a general feeling of instability (as compared to kite foiling and winging, which i feel very comfortable with). i often feel i'm struggling trying to keep the nose down, like there is just too much lift, but i've got my setup as far back as it can go. I'm about 90 kgs, using an Omen 72L board, and Armstrong HA 1180 or MA 1190 wing with Flow 235 or Flying V 200 stab. I've tried less-lifty wings like my HS 1250 and HA 780 wings, but with them, i can't even get up on foil. I know my stance is critical, and I've shuffled around everywhere, but that instable feeling persists. Anyone have any tips?

The Manta is a bigger heavier unit than the FD and I haven't ridden it BUT in principle this video will help . You need to center the mass to balance the board not move it back. Manta has also upgraded it's prop and motors . I 100% recommend you upgrade as this will help heaps on the start. The Omen 72L should be fine but those lager fuller nose boards can plow water on the start. The 1180 should also be fine if you are getting boosted try a negative shim. Just practice smooth calm flat water until you have the starts nailed. I've also included one of my start videos , sort of a 1,2,3 start. See if you can get your hands on a Skinny Sup DW board , they are super easy to practice starts , like the purple Duotone in my first video.

Looks like great glide and turns well, can't wait to get mine in a few weeks hopefully. What size front foil were you riding

I was riding the 675 Crest up until the close out wipe out then switched to the 800 . The 675 surfed amazing but a bit tough punching back into the headwind on the FD . The 800 was so good into the wind and still surfed like a much smaller foil with incredible glide . That's definitely one of the best 800's I ridden .

Has anyone had any luck pairing the V2 FD to a KT board with the Ginxu step? Is there a plate or something available to retrofit the board?

Sorry too crash the Piros show but needed to show this:

Margaret River local legend Martin (Marty) Littlewood has been given a new lease on life thanks to his Foil Drive, He patiently waits for the right waves and does what I feel should be done with a FD and assists onto each wave and you can see the inner grom come out xxxx
