So what you're saying is that the resulting 1m difference in height from boosting off a head high wave and off flat water is too little? Are we talking same wind strength and kite size? If this is the case then its a little disappointing for me, being a regular footer I am patiently waiting for spring time when we get wind from the left so I am on my good tack hitting the waves and was hoping for big improvements in my heights off waves when compared to flat water.


What's your heights Off flat vs wave ? Mine off kickers are higher then off flat unless it's 30kn+ on a 10 in the flat. It all really depends on the day. Ive had some biblical ones at the back of eddies up in Lano using the kicker that curls round the back off it.

Same kite same day turned it on and off to separate the session.
If you know how how to jump big - you'd know the difference..

It's why they Don't have King of air on glass flat water. How small would the jumps be..

Woo is a waste of money. For $300 you could get so much steroids to make your back leg MASSIVE and outboost anyone regardless of what stupid computer is measuring.

So what are you claiming, the guys pulling big numbers off waves are jumping huge!

But I think 14.8 is pretty huge, guessing they all use the same mass to arrive at answer so WOO on WOO aren't you in all measured the same?

curious to as to how high you think Woo should of recorded the jump off the wave?

I think it should be recorded from sea level. The use of a kicker or perfect technique on flat water should determine your height. Using kickers is not cheating it just depends where you are kiting. Personally i kite flat water so no kickers but on a good day with kickers of course your gonna hit that lip!!

Calculate what normal North kite line length is plus distance to top of canopy - then take a guess at what height i must be to be 'Looking Down' quite a bit to the canopy going under me... 14.8m is small if you know how to jump with Perfect Storm wind / wave conditions

Agree with this, anyone half decent with an 8sqm in 45knots, lining up a huge kicker could smash 14.8metres easily. Especially if it's cross to cross off with smooth water.

Someone on flat water on a 10m in 35knots can do the same no kicker needed
