Events at Mullaloo. With a 3.3m swell & 25 knots There will be some big loops to be had.

We will collectively make the call on Friday arvo as to what time we will head down.

2. If anyone else has blown out ACLs from kiteloops your welcome to drink beer with me at the beach.
3. If anyone does blow out ACL/dislocates knee cap im quiet the expert now and you can have my rehab program for a carton of beer!
4. If you want extra attention with the lens a six pack may result in all the photos being of you.
5. If you just want to kite surf (strapless of course) ill also shoot ya.

Just not my year at all - the wind always cranks the day after I fly back to work

Trying to get official permission or approval sounds like a headache. Mind you the amphitheater as Scarborough would be a great location.

I'd love too see heaps of crew come down, of various degrees of skill and regardless of their WAKSA membership or not.

So have to be as originally planned. Just a group of random kiters having fun.
But a big NO to the amphitheatre. thats a no go zone to ALL kiters All the time.

What happened to Mullas? If it has to be Scarbs make it Contacios - away from the SLSC - away from Brighton - very low key local crew. (just my 2c worth)

Why would be want approvals? Red tape just wrecks it for everyone.

Woodies in the nuking northwesters!! the epic flat water on the south side of the groin straight in front of the carpark that way you could have people boosting only meters from the spectators. It would be amazing!! I would bring my boat down as the rescue

I know how frustrating it can be to try and organise something like this and have people jump up and say "aww why don't we do this instead"

BUT i do think that Woodys is a MUCH MUCH MUCH better option for this. If you want to see big kite loops then its the Western end of beach 1 at Woodys in NW wind that you will see the biggest. The flat water makes not only for a better take off but even gives you a chance of landing the bigger ones.
Mullaz in a 25knot onshore wind with 3.5m of swell pumping in is just going to be huge walls of white water and pussy loops at best as there is nowhere to get a good take off from in those conditions.

Agreed also makes it a bit easier to attend if you live in safety bay

Loving the feedback, we kind of just threw the idea out there, and you have all come back with some great ideas.

The Mullaloo event is still happening. Guaranteed to be quite a bit of carnage at Mullaloo with the swell ripping down the coast.

I guess it’s no big surprise that there's lots of interest in the South of the River Crew having an event at Woodies.

You don’t need by permission! - go for it!

Perhaps if someone on Seabreeze can put their hand up and be a point of contact, that would be the first step in getting something happening at Woodies.

Pics or it didn't happen!

I'm pretty sure the only blood sucking scum are the organisations you work for...

And if you've got a "gazillion dollars" (which I'm assuming is a very large amount) then you shouldn't have any problem sharing with your kitesurfing buddies unless your a total tight ass...
