jbshack said..SO do you support a Cull? Or do you think we should leave the sharks alone like me

Any response to the perceived problem needs to be measured.
Doing nothing is obviously the most useless response.
I'm of the belief that any approach needs to be multi-tiered;
Personal protection devices need much more investment and development as I believe there is a lot of potential to develop measures that are unequivocally effective.
Obviously much more research needs to be done on shark behaviour, travels and the effect that close contact with humans is having/has had on them.
Early warning systems and beach protection/deterrent systems need to be researched and developed as well.
I don't believe that culling should be out of the question, but it needs to be approached in a responsible way, again, research into its effectiveness and ability to target the 'right' sharks, and even if there is a 'right' shark to target etc
All of these measures will obviously have different time delivered payoffs, but all need to be looked at, as there will be no one fix all measure, whether it's culling, tagging or any personally championed method, to think so shows a level of mental simplicity that is astounding.
So many polarized views due to ego, personal opinion and vested interests getting in the way, makes this a hard subject to discuss in a logical and rational way.
Something of this complexity needs a holistic approach.
But as you said previously, this is a discussion forum only, you're not here to try and find a solution; so why have the discussion at all?
