I think that is one of the important things; that people that know a lot about something, also realise that they also don't know it all.

The annoying thing in life is when idiots that claim that they know a lot succeed because people believe them. I have been left behind a few times in jobs where the idiot beside me claims he knows it all and managers then believe it. Which I can sort of understand as well.

Anyhow, what has PM33 got to about this? Has he any real-life experiences in this area or at least a meme?

But from the lastest News it appear that Joel Cauchi (the perpetrator) suffer from mental health issues and this act of violence was not a terrorist act

I wonder what proportion of police shootings are actually fatal. It seems more often than not that the person on the receiving end of the pistol shot ends up in hospital, not the morgue.

My understanding is that Channel 7 picked the fake name out of a widely spread and supported Twitter/X post with bothering to fact check. Probably in response to the usual claim that every mass murder is perpetrated by a Muslim. Given what Israel is doing to Gaza right now, the returned IDF killer story got a strong foot-hold and overwhelmed the usual racist trope. Channel 7 needs to do better, a likely lawsuit would make that obvious.

The article is paints a pretty disturbing picture of how a Putin sympathiser can derail social media and shows yet again Channel 7 News is an entertainment operation, not a fact source, despite their deluded advertising suggesting otherwise. I don't know however there's been plenty of examples around the world of terrorist attackers wrecking havoc in the name of Islam. Unfortunately if you criticise Islam you are much more likely to get attacked. Look what happened to Salmon Rushdie.

Can't say Australians are particulary worried about a Jain or Buddhist terrorist attack.
