Another person mentioned this - I never used the link, so it kind of got overlooked, but it's on it's way back .. for now, visit the Member menu (top right), and choose "Messages". ..only one extra tap/click.

No they haven't been - I am trying the unsubscribe button to see if this fixes it up mate , just getting used to things

When you post it automatically subscribes you to that topic and those one appear on the top and the others appear under it in chronological order.
So if I post something in a topic yesterday it appears above a post or new topic that someone may have posted moment ago.
Unsubscribing fixes the problem but be good if you could turn it off..
Or still sort the forum in chronological order.

Starred topics are also in chronological order, think of it as a priority list
If you click on the star it unsubs you. Quick workaround.
Personally I like the feature. Came in here to figure out how to monitor threads not posted to by attempting some sort of click / swipe on the thread heading, but realised it's at the bottom of the thread when opened.
Yeah but isn't that what the subs button at the top is for.
It kinda does the same thing twice.
The threads you subscribe to appear under the subs button and at the top of the forum.
The forum when you enter it imo should be in chrological order and the subscribed threads should be accessed by the subs button. Otherwise new topics appear under old subscribed threads.
Just my Opinon...
Using iPhone 6 plus with safari - can not edit a post one minute after posting it. I get this message - incidently i can edit this post in the General but not in Longboarding.

I dislike it as well - maybe make subscribing an opt in not opt out process
"View Last Post" does not work with FireFox. :(
Use 'Chrome" . Everything works with chrome
Links to external pages are going wrong in Firefox: - "Unexpected Error"
The link in the first post in the Lancelin results page is an example:
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Western-Australia/Lancelin-Results?page=1#11
Click the link and get an error.
Works ok in Chrome.
This is an odd one. I've seen it happen once, but it was only a once off - reloaded the page and all good. Is it happening everytime for you, or is it transient?
Yes I have not had any link work in Firefox either by direct clicking on the link or right hand mouse clicking "open in new tab"
Only way which works is to directly copy the link and paste it into a new tab
I get the same error in Chrome and MS Edge
Address bar comes up

I like the link to go to the last post in the thread. But that means I need to go back to previous pages to see what I haven't read.
It would be better if it went to the last post that I had read. You could infer that from the last session time, or just use the time option in effect for determining the active topics.
Name of person who started thread please.
Simply click/tap the "Compact" / "Detailed" button on the forum topics page.

Just fixed this .. a really subtle error that was really difficult to locate, but your details pinpointed the problem - it all depended on whether you shift-clicked, right clicked, or used the context menu.
A patch will be installed later today - thanks for the details.
And yes, totally agree with Chrome - it's fast, reliable & consistent. Firefox was awesome, but it starting to be a bit slower these days.
Firefox struggles a bit rendering the new HD graphs on desktops, which is a pity. All other browsers are quick at it. Seems it doen't cache the graphs, and redraws them when you scroll, so the slower your computer, the more jittery.

Shall investigate this (and the other things mentioned) today/tomorrow...

The way it should work on the forum topics list is like this:
1) Click on the topic title, and if you've been in it before, it will take you to the last post you had read up to.
2) Click on the area to the right ('last post'), and regardless of where you were up to, takes you to the last post on the last page.
..except ...
"View Last Post" does not work with FireFox. :(
Different browsers are behaving differently for #lastpost type links.
i.e.
Firefox & IE don't go to the last post.
Chrome, Safari & Edge do go to the last post.
From what I can tell, a programatic fix might be needed for Firefox/IE .. shall investigate.

And that's why you do what you do
Thanks
when clicking on forum it only goes back one subforum , not back to the frontpage with all forums and subs listed . Is this how it's supposed to be laurie
The "search" function in buy and sell doesn't seem to be working at the moment. Wasn't a problem yesterday? If you can check this out please Laurie.

Goes all the way back for me, to www.seabreeze.com.au/forums .. what's it doing for you?

Indeed, and fixed.
Also,
1) you can now choose whether you subscribe to a topic, via the "Subscribe to this topic [x]" checkbox when you post.
and
2) the "Last Post" arrow should now take you to the last post for FireFox.

goes back one sub forum so from general kitesurfing to the parent kitesurfing folder

The master forum list is a bit smarter these days .. when you return to the "top level", it puts the most recent forum you viewed at the top, and if your scroll down you find all the other forums. (Which is perhaps why you think it's not at the "top")
The active topics is a bit broken...
"Posts since your last visit"... sometimes it's stuck on Monday last week, sometimes it's "seconds ago" even though it's first visit of the day.
Upgrade just put through.
1) Nobody mentioned that the "Compact/Detailed" setting was lost everytime you returned to the site?! Must have been annoying if you had to press "Detailed" every time...
2) Layout for desktop/mobile upgrade to a what (hopefully) is a better design?
3) Posting .. the "Add Photo" links to under the "Post" button, as they are used much less - makes it better for mobiles - less scrolling to hit the "post" button
4) Shrunk the New Post entry box on mobile, again, to save on scrolling
5) Added the "New" indicator to show posts that are new since your last visit.
6) .. and some other nifty stuff.
Thanks to all for the feedback so far, I do believe we're getting there...
