fjdoug said.. PPL is not restricted to piston engine single. You can fly a Boeing 747 with a PPL if you had a 747 endorsement, only for private/non commercial flights though. You couldn't be paid to fly it and you would not be able to charge your passengers though they could contribute to cost sharing.
