I believe this is B position. Looks like the fuse is correct you just put your mast in the wrong spot.

Did you read this thread?

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Foiling/Slingshot-Hover-Glide-fuselage-positions

Most people ran i76 in B and i99/i84 in C. But it looks like you have invented a D position with the front wing further forward than the stab is back from the mast

I got my bolts, and have set it up in te "C" position.

Is this too far back?
The manual sats something about reversing the fuse 180 degrees, which confuses me.

I have no idea how I ended up with 3 images.
It's the same photo

That looks way too forward from what i recall

Can I use a parawing on a regular board w/out foil? Upwinds easy? Wind range ? Typical winds here :are light: +- 12-13 knts. Weight : 190 lbs. Board : inflatable . Advantages/Disadvantages? From previous experience with a wing I had to struggle getting back on the board after falling. It is super easy with a regular rig and sail, because they counterbalance the board on the lee side when leaning on the wind rail, but with a wing it is hard, be cause the board tips over on the wind side.

Thanks for the input

Francone

Parawings arn't gonna pull enough in 12-13 knots. Maybe go whole hog and get a kite. but I am still wondering what you think you are gaining over a sail.

I run my 909 with the 450 stab, but I am outlier. If you want a more locked in feel I would go 430. For flat water riding I still prefer the original balz so don't sleep on the 899 or even 999 for light wind esp at your ammount of muscle

Congrats. I haven't found many good windfoilers that didn't first master Slingshot Hoverglide

Learn to keep your weight on the front foot esp when flying

for your first getting to foil sessions I reckon mind rigging a bit bigger so you don't have to worry much about sail pumping. slog upwind a bit and bear off until you start to lift off, keep weight on front foot, and turn upwind to kill enough power so that you have level flight.

To land step forward/and or turn up wind.

Slog back downwind

After the first few stable flights then rig down and focus on sail pumping on a beam reach (unless OP). Once your up you can go upwind or way downwind to kill off power as needed

Hi

Im a Swedish windfoiler, I?ve been casually brwosing this forum for some time - I think it?s the most active community IN THE WORLD for windfoiling! kind of sad, but also cool!

anyways, I thought I would share a funny app I built for analyzing windfoil settings - a trim calculator, analyzing pitch moment arms to suggest "ideal" positions for vertical force balance. But I can?t, according to policy here, so instead I?ll post my take on the future of windfoiling

Windfoiling is the future of windsurfing, no doubt. the bottom line is that windsurfing is really hard and it?s not really fun if conditions are less then steady and strong. especially steady. Most surfers slog on too small boards, and everyone is not into big boards and slalom. in fact most dream of fsw + 4.2 sessions, which they only get a taste of
Good winds!

Looking forward to when you can post the app

Mr Keen defeating my drone skills

Nice video what drone did you film that with asking because only certain drones are now available in the US for security reasons?

Its a DJI mini 4K, which i wouldnt recommend for windsurfing. Get one that flys at least 20m/s. My understanding is that the drone ban in the US is only for non-currently owned drones.

Or you could build one from parts like my son did.
He's not having any trouble in 43 knot wind gusts.
I think it's a 5" drone.

I am very interested in building a 5 in drone. Was it very challenging for him?

No, but he is pretty techy. But pretty sure he just buys the pieces and assembles them. Seems a lot of it is getting it tuned correctly with software flight controller/telemetry etc. I suspect it's all pretty straightforward. I'll ping him for kit details and see if he has some recommendations.

Thank you

My son gave me this link. He built his own, but said this one pretty identical ready to go off the shelf.. he did say there is more skill in flying a "true " fpv drone, whatever that means..

It's only for Chinese made drones ie DJI. Drones by US companies are exempt.... not that there really are any US made drones.

yeah any drone parts or products out of china. But I believe the previously owned/purchased stuff is grandfathered in

Does anyone else find the Armstrong integrated mast has a lot noisier motor sound and a tapping type vibration under your feet when under power load.

probably one for the wing thread bro. Not many windfoilers use armystrong cause they don't make a long fuse

I doubt its something you would want to plume on permanently but its much better to go too big and stable than too small and agile.

Pretty certain if you asked this on the wing thread they would all say hell no
