Hi Franchetto ,on the Ezzy website it says to use or change the bottom piece ..it kinda makes sense as the bottom is the stiffer of the two .if I take my 8,0 Lion and my 6.5 I take the 460 Ezzy RDM with the 430 bottom which gives me 445 luff on the 6,5 is 458.

Agree on keeping the fitout flexible but I do not approve of your lack of a decent rack

My fitout was perfect when it was finished, now I'm carrying lots of gear on the bed as well. Oh well, I guess that happens with any layout as you just accumulate more stuff.

The bed is a series of high grade marine squabs, they will drain through and not get mouldy plus can be thoroughly washed with fresh water. Together the squabs create the size of a queen size bed so all the bed sheets etc... are easy to get and fit. Also got Velcro fly screens for the doors for the fly/insect heavy days and nights. The roof and sides are all heavily insulated and painted black inside. Not only helps with the temp, it really keeps the noise down at night and it's dark for long sleep ins. Anecdotally discovered flys don't really like going into darker spaces!

On longer trips I use thee roof box for all my sails, masts booms and wet gear. Helps keep the van clean and dry for sleeping. Any internal rack system would impede on my fly-less, day lounging experiences watching whales, reading and drinking breakfast beers ;-)

awesome set up Brent

here s a LWB .pic we hire for trips up north ,10 -11 ,windsurfing boards 3 Sups .16 sails I think .8 x booms .could maybe fit a little bit more on top .

I recently brought a Severne 90% 430 SDM for my 7,0 M5 was using a Maui 100% didn't rotate well due to its wider profile on the maui bottom cam s ,90% Severne .it rigs perfect ,sail s perfect .fantastic mast .I went for the 90 because of excessive cam wear on my 100 % 460 and 430 .maui ,the protective layer on the 90 I am hoping it will hold up a bit better .for sure the 100 will have a quicker return and if you are a pro rider or racing I would go the 100 ,but other wise a weekend hacker and wanna be GSP freak like me I'm happy with the 90 .and the extra strength made my decision ,its gonna be way better than your 75 % by far .

flip a coin ... ...both are great mast .100 % is top of the line and will feel amazing on many sails .

Great question Paul ,when I built my trailer I had to go 3 metres ,my big 9,5 and the 250 mast plus bags fit in well doors close snug.
also a 9 foot SUP .my friend has the SWB .everything will fit in ,a slight angle on the long ones is required but no big deal
when we go up North west we always hire the long wheel base hiace ,it is a bigger van by a lot and parking does require some skills
but it was nicer to lay down in .it depends on how big the cab is as hi ace has put noses on their Vans now so rear space is smaller .
If its for everyday use I probably would buy the SWB.because it's easier to drive in traffic and everything fits .If camping in it too I would go the LWB.

Vid a bit shaky. Either your stabilization aint much good or your hookin
Most my footage is 20ish kts, very smooth. I think you might be going faster than that

You might be like the rest of us getting too old to do crazy sheet .slow down take your time .I've only broken my neck windsurfing .
I think I am wiser now .enjoy the ride, repair ... and get back out there .

+1 ( not the broken neck though.. ).
I usually rig for speed in chop . I like to try and get good speeds ( for me ) doing bear aways. Usually my gybes are average . I'm happy if they are dry.
I usually use a 7.2m twin cam on a 112ltre ( 64 wide) or 90 ltre ( 57 wide) in patchy 12-18kts wind in lake chop. ( weigh c 68gs with camelback etc)
Last sail I decided to take it easy and rigged the 6.5m twin cam on the 112 and a few runs with the 90 ltre.
Yes I wasn't as fast , I was off the plane more , but I got more of my gybes, and it was nice and cruisy in the gusts.
I'm usually hanging on for grim death.

+2 .I'm still crazy about going fast ,but don't take as many risks .I try and stay away from stupidly shallow areas .like before .
I like to ocean sail ,and always gybe on the wave face or swell or chop what ever pops its head up .Its so much easier getting it around .

I've got a Isonic in sandwich ,rails are defiantly stronger and all over ,compared with the reflex ,noticeably heavier but noticeably stronger .I would go the sandwich again because of this .Reflex is awesome but as PHILN says treat with care ,but the performance is mind blowing .

I know this has nothing to do with your question ,but here's what my M5 7,0 looks like ,its a fantastic sail in smooth water it pulls like a truck .so fast .but it shows the luff pocket which you are trying to escape from ,I very rarely drop it in the water ,the zips keep the water out pretty good ,same year as your 2 cam Turbos .2022 .there is a time and place for it .Hroar that sail looks great .
